I've got my home computer and my work laptop, I use one of my home monitors for working, and I'd like to use my headset on either of them as well.
What I'd like is a switch that lets me switch my headset from one to the other (3.5mm outputs), which I can find lots of, but I can't seem to find any that would also do the microphone. I guess I could get two of those and use two buttons but at that point I could just keep switching the cables around.
Any suggestions?

Not quite the same, but I have a work laptop, personal laptop, and my phone all connected to my bluetooth headset. Basically, when any of them make a sound, I hear it, though there is some precedence.
So, I'll hear (for example) notification sounds from both laptops and phone if I'm not listening to something (like music) at the time. If I'm listening to music on one laptop, and a call comes in on my phone, the music will pause and I can answer the call.
It's not perfect - I'm actually connected to bluetooth to the personal laptop and phone, and via usb to my work laptop. This is partly because the headset only connects to 2 devices over bluetooth, but also because the headset does not fully support Microsoft Teams meetings over bluetooth as bluetooth will disconnect after a couple minutes of a meeting. All my Teams meetings are on my work laptop, so I use usb and that keeps the connection stable.
Phone seems to always take precedence. So a call coming in will always interrupt whatever else I'm listening to. After that, the usb connection is next, and then the bluetooth connection to my personal laptop is last. So when sound is coming from more than one device at the same time, I will hear from the device with highest precedence. I'm not 100% sure on this, as it's rare that I hear stuff from more than one device at a time.
Zoom meetings seem to be no problem - I've done multi hour zoom meetings on my personal laptop using bluetooth only without issue.
The headset is the Sennheiser PXC-550, and is one of the best purchases I've made for my home office.

Wouldn't something like this work? I assume you have a 4 pole 3.5mm connector vs 3 pole which doesn't have the mic.
I've got a Sennheiser gaming headset that wasn't too cheap so don't want to change headsets, so yeah a USB one isn't an option. Neither would be a bluetooth headset, though I guess I could get a 2nd cheaper work headset, but that's just more desk clutter.
It's got 2 separate cables, one each for the headphones and mic.
So that Nobsound device wouldn't work, but it mentions on there they have another model that would, this one is what I'm looking for:
The only downside of that is it has a pot in the middle which could introduce noise if it's not a well made device, and a number of reviews were complaining about the noise.
EDIT: Maybe I should just get some parts and make one. All I'd need is the jacks, a proper switch, and some wire.

It reminds me of the switch I used in my '89 Corsica after the buttons died in the aftermarket cruise control. I did go for about 6 months just zrrting wires together to engage cruise, which was fun putting a concerned look on my passenger's faces. The switch was more elegant, but less fun.

I used an external usb sound card (Asus xonar u5) connected to a usb switch for a couple of years with pretty good results. I also have a 5.1 speaker setup connected to that sound card, and the easy switching between the headset and speakers was why I chose it. There are better usb soundcard or DAC options if all you want to do is drive a headset with decent sound quality though.

Though my work computer is a Macbook Pro, so I guess I'd have to make sure it's supported.
I think the only one that will meet your needs without extra equipment is the Mayflower. The Schiit HEL would need a way to switch the USB inputs but I can attest to the fact it's a great DAC/AMP. They both work without drivers on Win10 and MacOS.

I have a Dell D6000 docking station that I use to switch between my work computer with home computer. It might also be something to look into if you want to share other peripherals between the two computers.
