Default CP Most Anticipated Game: 2021 Edition
Along with our GOTY list I thought it might be fun to do a ranking of our most anticipated game for the upcoming year. We're gonna really open up the floor to have it include all announced games. It doesn't necessarily need a 2021 confirmed release date, just whatever is at the top of your list for upcoming games! Give me a top 3 and we'll score it the same as the GOTY list.

Here's some ideas for the top upcoming games currently announced. Of course, if you have something not on the list, you don't need to use there!

I guess Horizon II, although I probably won't play it until 2022. Hellblade 2 and Nier are runners up.

I’m going to try not to buy games this year and work on my backlog. I’ve said that before so take that with a grain of salt.

I played the demo for Bravely Default II and it looks to be great so I will get it eventually. I’ll play Forxa 8 since it’ll be on game pass.

You missed PC games. I’ll definitely be playing Baldur’s Gate 3 when it’s released.

Those are my three as well. You can throw in Breath of the Wild sequel too but I doubt my son will let me play it this year.

I would say Final Fantasy XVI but there is no way it comes out this year. Being a sucker for good platformers I'm waiting on the new Ratchet and Clank.

If that's your bag, I'm surprised you wouldn't vote for the Hollow Knight sequel.

There is basically no chance Diablo 4 is released in 2021. Hell, Baldur's Gate 3 might not even make it - early access started in October and at that time the developers predicted "at least" a year before it's actually released.

If something doesn't already have a 2021 release date I wouldn't bet on it being ready until 2022. I think a lot of companies are seeing what happened with Cyberpunk and aren't going to commit to a date that will force them to rush their products out.

I’ll probably get to some of these games by 2024

This year I’m hoping to play Zelda BOTW. I also picked up Journey on sale and should finish that too. I’d like to play TLOU2 but 2022 is more realistic.
