It still turned out to be good advice, which you just can't seem to accept as you try and mock me with every post

It's cool though, I have had a few posters PM and thank me as they have done pretty well

Ran a tech company for 20+ years, nobody can predict the future but Crypto is certainly in my wheelhouse. Crypto has been fairly easy to predict based on general internet sentiment. More so than anything else I know of.

It is true though I need to sell some and diversify soon, I will not be that guy who has it and loses everything

Hey man, just wanted to let you know that I also appreciate your crypto input. I have a decent knowledge of the space, and I think it's pretty clear that you know what you are talking about and do your DD. Feel free to drop some tips in here at anytime! Are you targeting any specific alt coins for the impending alt season after the BTC blow off top?

lol you could accuse me of making a fake account to complement myself but considering the posters account is older than both of us old timers that would have been quite the long game.

The posters name is literally "your mother". Stick to crypto, humour isn't your thing.

Anyone have experience converting large sums of cryptocurrency into fiat? What exchange did you use? Did your bank give you any issues? How did you account for taxes?

I'm still struggling to understand why anyone would want to buy an NFT other than investment speculation (which is fine by me), but maybe it doesn't really matter that I don't get it and it's outside my personal risk tolerance.

If I take a step back and just think of them as a commodity I don't really care if I personally see value or not, it's irrelevant. Maybe it's an opportunity. Think of the many retail workers in any sort of commodity dealing, plenty of them wouldn't ever/couldn't ever buy what they are selling but they understand that others don't feel the same way.

I've been looking into the process and browsing marketplaces. Some of the art is really strange to me and it seems like the creators can make a few changes to one and easily create a whole series. Some of them do look really cool, just not 0.1 eth cool, more like maybe I'll download the jpg preview and use it as a background for a bit kinda cool.

Plenty of cryptocurrencies have NFT marketplaces on the roadmap. The whole NFT thing very well might be a fad like crypto kitties, just a much bigger one. Hell, you can use NFTs as leverage to do all sorts of stuff on some of the platforms I've browsed, all because people are willing to spend money on them, bottom line. Some of them say they give to charities and if they actually do, great.

So, I guess I'm neutral, maybe leaning to rather they exist than not. But still not sure. I dunno.

If you would have bought $1000 worth of SHIBA in Jan 2021, it would be worth roughly $400 million today.

There's a couple of posters a few pages back saying they have some. I hope they kept it.

ETH at ATH today too.

On paper. Article says they haven't sold and that selling could tank the price which makes sense. I suppose they can try trickling it out. Either way crazy and makes no sense. It's a meme curency of a meme currency of a cryptocurrency.

I sold a chunk of mine when it was at 0.000038, and then it dropped to to below 0.000035 and stayed there for several weeks, so I figured I did the right thing and sold at peak. I guess I could kick myself after looking at the price the last few days, but honestly I already turned a $200 throwaway purchase into a $1k gain, so I can't complain. I still have 10m in Shiba that I'm holding just to see how stupid it gets

Not saying that there isn't a place for some sort of crypto winner in the future but this is ridiculous.

I think it'll go up overall, similar to Doge, but it will take some time.

It's pretty hilarious how speculative the market is. They just released a "wrapped" XRP so you can pay 100$ gas fees to buy XRP on ETH instead of getting it for nothing on the XRP ledger.
