I reaaaaally hope the December patch includes:

Ability to mute teammates
A swap to push-to-talk as the default rather than mic sens
An indicator showing what ops your teammates have available, so everyone can pick an op (since some don't speak up)
Map voting
Votekick

These additions will bring it up to par with most competitive shooters, their absence is starting to become deafening.

You can already vote kick and mute players. Bring up the scoreboard, navigate with the arrow keys and hit enter. The mic bug is annoying but if you already have it set to push-to-talk just key the button twice to get rid of your open mic.

Whaaaaaaat

Alright now I just feel dumb.

And yeah the open mic thing is more for russian dudes who don't understand when you tell them their mic is open who are listening to persian anthem trance at top volume. knowing how to mute solves that tho.

Thanks!

That looks like a solid first patch to me. Definitely wasn't expecting to see Ultra textures so that is a pleasant surprise. Interested to see how the game feels with the improved tick-rate. I see a lot of people whining about the changes to ranked play. I don't think it's that big of a deal as the modes were basically the same anyway but with more rounds in ranked. Ya you can complain about grenade indicators but any good player is going to chuck a primed nade that explodes in your face.

The ubisoft forum is alight with people complaining about the time reduction in being spotted when going outside on defense. I'm ok with it - i think it defeats the purpose of that they were trying to accomplish of breaching a fortified position. I think any 'terrorist' who ran outside the building during a siege would be taken down immediately.

Great first update, good to see community concerns already being addressed.

God I hope the new matchmaking tweaks includes correct region matching.

I really wish they'd add a regular instant spawn team deathmatch mode. Round based play is fine, but sometimes I just want to play mindlessly

Edit. Gone

uPlay has R6 on sale for 25% off this weekend ($60 CAD). I have a 23% season pass from GMG that I am very tempted to use.

I'm on PS4. Can read the rest of the thread to see what people think of the game, but as far as the PS4 version, there's no issues or anything. Always people playing, no obvious bugs (since the December patch, at least)

My only complaint about this game is the lack of modes and features

Anyone use a shield? I've started too lately and once you get the hang of them they're pretty sweet

I'm unsure on consoles, but the meta on PC was heavily skewed towards shields in the early weeks of the game, but has since moved away from them.

Fuze's shield has barely any coverage so most people opt for the AK or LMG instead, and Montagne's is overly cumbersome. Usually Blitz is the only shield you see being used with any frequency now, since the flash can be super useful in the right hands.

Average players are getting very savvy to shield counters now as well, as well as being able to identify shields before they see them (shuffle clunk shuffle clunk). Nitro cells are becoming way more popular as a hefty shield counter.

I've noticed more people are starting to realize that Montagne has an invisible headshot hit box above his sheild

Any tips on operators/load outs to unlock? I'm currently running through the training scenarios, getting used to the game.
