Default Changing NAT on PS3?

Anyone know how to do this. I have one of those Telus SE567 modem/routers and I'm stuck with a NAT3 setting. I'm not able to find any solutions online other than buying a router and bridging the modem. Just wondering if anyone here has any tips?

Ugh. I had some mad issues with that router. It was crap. I ended up bridging it (which isn't actually supported on the Telus firmware but there is a way to do it..).

Try DMZ'ing the ps3- you should get to Type 2. Or just forward all the ports (although when I did this it even didn't work!

Telus actually removed the port-forwarding option from the software on the modem. I'll try DMZ'ing but I've read that doesn't work.

Actually I found it, but I'm reading online that they disabled it for residential users. I'm going to try it and see what happens.

don't have telus...but Bell. Their piece of crap modem is designed as a modem/router. I had to bridge their modem. As mentioned, most of the ISP's won't support you if you are doing this and using a router which does not belong to them...but oh well.

I initially called them and questioned them on port blocking etc...they claimed it was wide open. As soon as I bridged their modem voila...my NAT was good to go.

Yeah I got into it fine, but this message popped up when I tried forwarding one of the necessary ports:

"One or more of the requested ports is already allocated for system use"

Any suggestions?

You have it being forwarded to your PS3 IP?

Have you tried DMZ? that exposes all to your PS3.

Yeah, DMZ didn't work. I have them forwarding to my PS3 IP. I'm going to try resetting to factory settings and seeing if I can leave those particular ports open. Wish me luck.

what port are you trying to forward to it?

**You can only open 1 port to one machine, if you already have that port number allocated to another console/pc/etc you cannot open it for another one

you could also try to do the:

advanced settings -> Local network -> plug and play -> enable the IGD support

I did that and it works for my Xbox and didnt have to forward any of the required ports for that.
