Mountain time is the best for NFL. I hate the 10am start and 5:20 for the evening games. 11 and 6:20 is ideal in my opinion. MNF and TNF are especially perfect because you hit the pub right after work, get a few happy hour drinks pre game, food during the game and still be home around 10 once the game is done.

Mountain is great for college football too. 10 am, 1:30, and then a dinner-ish late game.

Decimeters. A metric unit of measurement comprising of 10 centimeters or 1/10th of a meter. We learned it in school and some rulers have it marked.
But is anything in the real world measured by decimeters? I can't say I have ever seen it used to measure anything, and if someone told me the length of something in decimeters, I would probably be confused.
Is there a practical application where decimeters make sense? I thought about this because we just bought school supplies for my 7 year old and her ruler has it shown.

I don't know about practical applications but my parents are Eastern European and whenever we went to the Polish deli/butcher they would order in 10s of gram, deka. I'm not sure why it is a common standard of measurement there.

Yeah, you're right. I recall seeing that in Europe as well now that you mention it.

On the units of measurements topic, why do we have the exact same unit of measurement with 2 separate names? Aka the micrometer vs the micron. It's a colloquiallism but it's stupid and pointless, just say the full name. It's a micrometer you nincompoops.

Why? Other than the night games I don't see the benefit.
11 am is just enough time to get stuff done before football starts on Sundays.

Yeah it seems to be the sweet spot for North American sports.

I was thinking. Has anyone been executed, for uploading the titled highlights of a match from that same day, but once viewed, they're actually a video game version?
Not yet, eh. Fingers crossed.

I prefer 10 am starts and the afternoon games being done by 4:30. Also night games being done by 8:30 at night is nice too.

When was the last time you heard about someone day dreaming?
Has day dreaming been nearly completely replaced by screen time "addiction"?

You know you and your friends are getting old, when you bought seemingly usual amount of liquor for a big party and more than half of it is left unopened…

I downloaded tiktok to kill some time, and it occurs to me that nothing I have ever watched on that platform has remained in my memory. I remember thinking, 'Oh, that's cool' or 'I should look into that', but I have absolutely no recollection of what the subject of anything that I saw might have been.
Daydream memory sticks around longer than that app.

There are things to look into on TikTok? All I've ever seen are people doing stupid dances.
I thought the disposability was the point.

Like all platforms, it gets better the more you use it and interact with it. There is absolutely something of value for everyone on the platform but you have to either dig into it a bit or wait for the algorithm to catch up. If you like posts you will get more posts similar to that post. I constantly get new and interesting posts I share and discuss with friends and family. YMMV.

Depends on what though. For some of us, the older we get, the less likely we will want to deal with a Crown Royal hangover, but the more likely we'll deal with higher end a scotch/whiskey hangover. I'm back to consuming a dumb amount of alcohol, but not an irresponsible amount of alcohol.
My friends keep thinking I'm an alcoholic. At my last birthday, they kept saying I was lying that I wasn't buying new stuff to top off my liquor "collection"... but conceded defeat when my liquor volume went up 2 litres (4 bottles less a wee bit of sippage from the whole crew) due to gifts by the end of the night vs their drinking.
I guess it also doesn't help that with new rules, a few individuals are now bringing in cannabis to cross fade with at my parties rather than going purely alcohol for their buzz. I admit I do this as well. I like my alcohol for the flavor. I like the cannabis for the similar and improved buzz without as strong of a hangover.
Back to the day dreaming thing... if it ain't screen time, I wonder if certain other people are saving it for their free time on shrooms, cannabis or LSD when they aren't on ADHD meds. I'm surprised how many people are openly discussing about how they're dosing things like this now.
