How to stop someone from torrenting away all your bandwidth in your house?
So my roommate who I am letting live here for free for awhile while she is unemployed is eating away all my bandwidth with torrents for Twilight or Glee Club or True Blood or whatever.
Unfortunately, I think she's using utorrent which randomly assigns a port and I can't break into her computer for both ethical and practical reasons to figure out what this is.
I don't want to stop her from torrenting, I just want to throttle her somewhat. Is there anything I can do surrepticiously from my end? Yes I could just ask her to stop but there's nothing I could do if she starts up again and I want to be a sneaky IT ninja and avoid confrontation.

If (micro)torrent is randomly assigning ports, then log in to your router, make note of all the ports that you yourself use, and throttle every other port down to 10%
Tell her you've been getting a bunch of viruses on the network that are common to Vampire related material, and you've back-traced it. Make sure you inform her that you've contacted the internet police, and let her know that consiquences will never be the same.
Seriously, just talk to her. If she's not paying to stay there, she should be respectful to your way of life as well.

You could just tell her that she's using too much bandwidth and if she doesn't scale it back, you'll take away her internet access.
The Stalinistic approach: Such a wonderful -- if not immoral, unethical, and likely illegal -- method.
"When faced with a problem where the practical solution is too costly, too inefficient, or too difficult, never be afraid to consider the alternative: Simply get rid of the problem."
If you are comfortable with asking her to limit the download speed that will work. Just go into the preferences of the program and it should be pretty straight forward.
Not sure why exactly you're looking for sneaky ways instead of talking to her but if you're just afraid of coming off like a jerk, just tell her you got a warning from the ISP about usage. It's not you that's demanding she knock it off - it's your mean old ISP.
Are you at least getting some in exchange for all her bandwidth hoarding?
Should I ask for 1 sex per 1 MBPS? What's the going rate these days?

Of course I could ask her. I just wanted to be sneaky because I like to be and wanted to know if there were any solutions for what I imagine must be a common problem for many people. Don't you guys get the urge to be sneaky big brother with vast secretive powers and control over other people's flow ofinformation every now and then?
Have you explored your router options? There might be a way to throttle a single IP/MAC address. That would be all you need. (Say you have a 15 mbps connection. If you throttle her to 5 mbps, you're in the clear).

I have the usual mac filtering etc. but I never found anything related to limiting a single computer's total bandwidth yet. Plus I just forgot the password. Time to reset!
Having dealt with the issue a few times over the last few years, after exploring the router to see if there was any way to throttle, particularily the upload portion, I grew a pair of balls and discussed it with the roomates. 100 times easier that way.

It's not about balls, I just want some prerogative control over the network.
P.S. anybody know any good trojans I can install so I can take over her webcam?
