It is difficult to enjoy a performance (from anyone) that is essentially nothing more than 30 second snippets of music. There was very little continuity in the music, at least from Shakira. I can’t stand Lopez, so I didn’t watch her act.

But I must admit I enjoyed the irony of having Spanish songs being played on what is traditionally an old white male network. I can see some old guy in a BarcaLounger frantically trying to call his congressman to ask how the wall is coming along while fiddling with his hearing aids as he is ogling Shakira and her shaking hips.
