I don't really get the point of these smaller bowl games..want to be excited for the final Irish game of the season, but the Camping World Bowl vs Iowa State doesn't exactly get the juices flowing.

Well the die hards do get jacked up (college fans in the US are nuts) and in many cases this is when fans of many teams plan a vacation around it, even though often they have no idea where it will be until a month previous. I think almost every game is in a warm weather climate. This one is in Orlando which also has some theme parks people seem to like.
But yeah i understand your view but the truth is, these games dont happen if they arent big dollars for the universities, and particularly the conferences, involved.
LAst years Camping Bowl winner was Syracuse. That appearance provided almost 6 Million dollars to the ACC alone.
The money is bonkers.

Oklahoma starting strongly. Hope they don’t end up in a massive hole too early. 3 and out then a shanked punt? Bold strategy.

The fix is in, bout to be 21-7. That no call on PI was as egregious as anything I’ve ever seen.

That was pretty egregious but what are ya gonna do. It's like in 2016 when Gaudreau got mugged in one end and then Mcdavid took the puck the other way and gets touched and gets a penalty shot. CFB doesn't like Oklahoma. Mainly because they can never finish.

Joe Burrow is very good at the American Football.

I think its rare when you see a QB that really excels at this level unless they're playing a true college offense and not a pro style offense. Burrow's has the tool set to run a pro offense. He thinks the game really well, he's got a good arm, great feet, and he can throw to a tiny window.
Using the line from the movie draft day "That's it, he's pro ready right now"
He's fun to watch.

Hard for OU to finish when the refs are intent on letting the other team win.
The game is pretty much over at this point. Burrow might even sit out the 2nd half.
But there is no way to say that the refs haven’t played a roll in OU’s probable loss. Miss the downfield lineman call, miss the PI call, miss a late hit call, and the emotion tilts and the plays go to the other team.

Can the CFP rescind their OU pick now and fly in someone else for the 2nd half? Athens is only an hour away.

Well, well, OU gets a few calls to go their way, and look what happens.
They will still lose, but still....

The refs didn't call the most obvious targeting call I've ever seen until it was reviewed. So I can go along with bad refs, but I don't think it is very one sided. OU defense is a lot worse than the refs, I know that.

It really seems like a 6 team playoff is the way to go. First 2 usually seem a notch above, so let the next 4 try to sort out who are the real deals.

Youre just tiring them out for the top 2.
It would be unfair to make Clemson play a quarterfinal.
