Any idea if the save files can be transferred? I'm halfway thru FF VII. If I can move my save file over, it'd be worth getting a Vita just to finish it.

I believe so, neogaf posters seem to confirm it. But may be worth it to wait to see additional confirmation before buying.

Actually, if I remember, I can try to set up a savegame and move it over myself later this week.

It will be there eventually for sure. They had showed it in one of the teaser videos though and it got me excited because I remembered how much I loved that game.

Likely has to do with Activision licensing rights in North America since they own Crash and Sypro now, which also happen to be two of the more prevalent games missing from the list.

Okay, so I went on my PS3 system and installed the FF7 download. I ran through it to get to the first save point ont he PS3. Hooked up the Vita and copied over the save game rather painlessly. Loads up fine on the Vita.

It's at the very start and not deep into the game but it looks like it should work.

Now, please excuse me while I work through about a dozen old school RPG's.
