Chris Stewart retires
Played with Philly this year. Spent a few weeks with Calgary at the conclusion of the 2017/18 season. Was a really good power forward at his peak with St Louis and Colorado.
Pretty sweet backyard setup too.

I felt like he always scored against us.
12 goals and 10 assists in 36 games against Calgary, but 10 of those goals were between 2009-2010, including a hattrick I remember on Henrik Karlsson.

Pretty good career and though his offensive numbers dropped off fairly early on, he worked hard to keep his career going. Not a lot of players find themselves playing in Europe for two stints during their career and work their way back to the NHL both times.
Also, from Reddit, he had a funny superstition:

I have to wonder how many times he ran someone over doing that.

I found it amusing when he finally became a Flame, it seemed like his name was linked to us year after year during his prime, so it was like it was destined to be.

I can’t be the only person here with an autographed Flames’ Chris Stewart jersey can I be?

He likely didn't even know you were interested in him. You should have sent him flowers or maybe held a boombox above your head outside his home.

Best year was the one before Colorado traded for him. He either had a fight or a goal or assist almost every single game. He played a reckless style which we all know is hard to keep up for an extended period. I liked him. Great career!

Short retirement! He has taken a job with the Philadelphia Flyers as a player development coach.
