Some of the best jerseys in the league now, if not the best! Especially that away jersey. Glorious.

So what do we think about buying the white jersey and wearing it to games? Will our heads be cut off for not abiding by the C of Red?

No hard feelings to KK, but yeah, the flag were an abomination on our jerseys and I'm glad we can bury that era.
I always liked that dude, my only issue with him was his complete lack of hockey fashion sense combined with the power he had over it. He fully admitted his fingerprints were all over the Vernon originally getting retired in the black C gaffe.

Dude liked black in our colour scheme way too much. So glad we're finally done with that (outside of a 3rd jersey I'm sure we'll get to keep the people happy who liked all the black in there)

Man if they throw flags on our retro jerseys I might actually just give up and start cheering for Seattle.

I'm not sure I could take how ugly that would be.
I actually had a dream last night that the home and away retro jerseys became our new shoulder patches. Yes, a picture of a jersey on each shoulder.

I don't remember what the rest of the jersey looked like but as long as the flags and side piping are gone I'm sure I could live with it

Still unofficial, but speculation is building.
Why does the Tkachuk jersey have a C on it. Is there a 2nd announcement that no one is talking about....?

Not a tkachuk jersey. That is a promo picture from the 2019 heritage classic ('19, not 19)

Now that they have removed the silly looking flags off of the jersey I think the Flames Ownership group should take a good long hard look at employing a new LGBTQ flag on one of the shoulders. In todays current climate it would be nice if The Flames ownership group realized we need to be more inclusive and acknowledge all of their fans regardless of their orientations.

I think the flag logo and jersey shoulder patches would look better on the Heritage Classic Ronald McDonald jerseys, otherwise we're nearing perfection.

Well why not? They obviously aren't going to be using blasty. So I think it would be a great opportunity for The Flames ownership group to do the right thing and stand up and say we represent the WHOLE of Calgary including all orientations and non binary folk out there.

The Jerseys are perfect as is, no more flags on jerseys. The retro's don't need a shoulder patch.

With that being said I am all for inclusion and having the Flames do more for underrepresented groups in our community. Adding the rainbow flag to the jersey is not the ticket though. There are much more effective avenues to go down than that.

Because the flames and the NHL already are actively involved in a myriad of work to support diversity. I am all for inclusion and the fight for hockey involving everyone. That fight differs from jersey design, and what should be included on our uniform

An LGBTQ flag on a jersey is not a team logo or identity of the team. That is the very reason people are struggling so much with the Alberta/Canada flag. It's lazy, and doesn't actively respresent the flames. It just shows where they play.

Well. I will say that the NHL is still deeply flawed socially and there is still a lot of ugly in there (at very high levels) vehemently opposed to diversity and the types of initiatives you mentioned. And I find that a lot of what the NHL does is very performative and not substantial.

But that's not really the topic of this thread.
