Its a much better game.

the NFL is booming big time in Europe. It's really blown up over the last few years over here.

Alright...I shall profess ignorance. I much prefer Rugby.

5:30 is too early to wake up on a Saturday, but Man City-Liverpool is going to be good!

And Liverpool is one Mane down. I sympathize with him going after the ball, but that was very dangerous.

That one is a pretty good example of the tough call between intent and the action itself. I don't think there was any malice at all in what he was doing, but studs in the face of the keeper or any other player is always going to be tough to not see red.

lose 4-0 to Liverpool, force your transfer to Liverpool and then lose 5-0 to City. Well done, Ox.

Intent has nothing to do with it. Players are sent off for reckless/clumsy challenges all the time. That was textbook reckless and dangerous.

Slight improvement on his Arsenal debut.

I believe in the Jays.

Losing at the Etihad isn't the end of the world, but that was a pretty disappointing way to do it. We just gave up after the red card.

Red was unfortunate, ruined the game, I see both sides of it but in the end I think the right call was made

So not starting Morata against Burnley was obviously a mistake. Madrid misses him too, clearly.

Well if Spurs can their home form sorted out then I see no reason why they can't match or eclipse their point totals from last year. That's a good win today.

Frank Deboer is just having a nightmare start. Not even a goal. Thats grim.

They really should have won that game too. Not his biggest fan by any means but the players let him down today for sure. Dann and Benteke had grade A chances at the end.

Bring in a manager that comes with a completely new system
Don't buy players for that system
Have players miss sitters 5 yards away from the goal
Fire the coach?

the whole thing was bound to fail anyway. One the one hand, you have a team that's had 8 managers in 5 years, constantly plays for relegation and relies heavily on old-school tactics. On the other hand, you have a manager who strongly believes in Total Voetbal and has a completely different idea as to how to set-up a team. If you make that call, you have to support him, be patient and give him time ... and that's not happening at Palace (again, 8 managers in 5 years).
It was a head scratcher right from the start, but only one of the sides has to take the blame now. The Palace decision makers will probably sign someone like Roy Hodgson, revert to the old style and pat themselves on their backs when they manage to survive again. De Boer will have to make a step back in order to save his managerial career.

After flirting with a totaalvoetbal philosophy under former Ajax manager Frank de Boer for merely 77 days, Crystal Palace is apparently now opting for a more pragmatic approach by hiring ex-England boss Roy Hodgson.

Well I just think they should look at the bright side. Sure, they've been winless and haven't scored 4 games into the season...but they're still ahead of West Ham!!
