Make sure you guys are playing MyVegas on Facebook. You can get some really good rewards on there for free. Last time I was there I only paid 49 a night at the Mirage.

If your single make sure you stay at the Mirage and hit up that Adult pool.
If you have kids the Mirage is good as they have one of the nicest pools and a zoo onsite.

Just found out my girlfriend is taking me to Vegas next month for my 30th! Love the Vegas

I want to take her out to a nice restaurant one night, any recommendations? Last time we were in Vegas we ate at Gordon Ramsay Steak and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. Wouldn't be opposed to going there again - but tips for other places would be greatly appreciated!

Vic & Anthony's in the Golden Nugget. Beats anything on the strip, IMO.

If you like seafood, we enjoyed Aqua Knox in the Venetian, pricey, but well prepared:

If money isn't a concern and you REALLY want to impress, take her to Picasso at the Bellagio. When you're making the reservation (you will absolutely need one), request the balcony. It is literally right on top of the fountains, and as you probably know they put on a hell of a show every 10-15 minutes. It's really expensive, but the food & service are excellent and the view of the fountain was worth every penny. Very romantic.

I really enjoyed craftsteak in the MGM. I also loved the Top of the World restaurant in the Stratosphere. Yeah, the hotel sucks, but the restaurant is awesome. After dinner, walk up a few feet to the Level 107 lounge. I went back there one night just to drink at the lounge, listen to the live music, and watch Vegas go around. I went to the observation deck at the top where the rides are, but it was awful.

Craftsteak is great. Not cheap, but very excellent place.

The Cut is the best place I've ever been to in Vegas (luckily I wasn't paying )

N9NE at The Palms was probably one the best dinners I've ever had. Also was very impressed with Yardhouse on the Linq Blvd. Good for lunch or casual dinner. Over 100 beers on tap.

Do not ever go to Tilted Kilt on the Linq Blvd. Bad food, bad service and bad beer. Yeah the uniforms are nice, but you can see that anywhere in Vegas.

The Yardhouse is a great option, any time.

Haha. I've gone to a tilted kilt before and the food was decent and the servers had brain activity.

The Vegas one was just a catastrophe.

Mesa Grill is usually pretty solid. Price wise it is a medium/high. I wouldn't call the food spicy but they do have some southwest kick to it.

I would highly recommend Dal Toro at the Palazzo. Amazing food and service. Go to the 1/2 price ticket booth and grab a 25-30% off coupon for $3. Totally worth it. Dinner also comes with a tour of their car museum.

Speaking of earl of sandwich sign up for their email group and you'll get a coupon for a free sandwich that's good for 30 days. I signed up 3 emails and used them each day for free breakfast sandwich.

Mon Ami Gabi in Paris is good, French bistro food well executed. And it has a patio depending on the weather.

Tough call given that you've been to GR Steak. It is my fave place in Vegas by a bunch.

Thanks for all the tips! Got a lot of options to choose from.

One other question - any ideas when the pools shut down for the winter? Staying at the Mandalay Bay flying in October 15th.
