That's awesome! That's a big signing for L1O. Part of me wishes we could have brought him back, I liked his touch on the ball.
Even though it's Peterborough, Electric City FC might just be my favorite 'under the radar' team in Ontario.

So according to Montreal's roster page, Yao has been loaned out. Given the success of his loan last year, hopefully he's back here...?

York will probably try to steal him as they are the Cavalry reserves.

That would be huge, just need a playmaking midfielder and I think we are looking ok.

Getting anyone who can unlock Mason would be a huge win. Hopefully Tommy has some ideas.

I found the team a little less exciting to watch last year due to the lack of creativity, but I was always looking forward to watching the matches and see how many times Yao would utterly destroy someone with a perfectly timed clean tackle. He was in the conversation for best player on the team IMO. Farsi was flashier, but completely lacked end product.

Sweet sweet rumour time. Apparently Cavalry have signed a German GK from Koln II on a 2 year contract. Don't know why we would have 3 GK's on the roster, so maybe he or Farago will be loaned to Edmonton?

Got info on the Canadian Championship bracket including dates. First round starts in May, final is in July.
There are 3 pots with the West teams (Whitecaps, Cavalry, Edmonton and Valour) in pot 1, East teams (Ottawa, Forge, York and HFX) in pot 2, and the amateur teams (Guelph, Mont-Royal Outremont) in pot 3. Somehow those 10 teams are drawn into the first round matchups.
Pacific, Toronto and Montreal get a bye and are in pot 4. So I think that means the two finalists + CPL Champions get a bye?
The draw is scheduled for March 9 and will be broadcast live on Youtube.

Canadian Championship draw just happened. Cavalry host Edmonton in the first round. Boring.

This is likely my last/only game I'll be able to see in Calgary this year, so I'm happy it's going to be a freight train blowout against FCE. I'll take that.
