Wheeldon red carded 12 mins in. HFX scored on penalty. Oh great.

Pretty huge flop, but dumb from Wheeldon to put his hands on him.

Wheeldon just killed Cavalry with that 13 minutes. 2 yellows and giving up a penalty in 13 minutes? Just terrible.

Wheeldon is useless on this team IMO, always has been. He’s liability out there more times than I’d like to see.

How does Garcia not get a yellow for that foul in Zator? That is more blatant then the Wheeldon foul.

Facepalm. The moment Wheeldon put his arms around him, his fate was sealed. And now Garcia's horse collar tackle does not garner a card?!

How Garcia didn’t get a card is beyond me. Such a ####ty double standard. That was even more obvious of a foul than Wheeldon’s.

This situation shows exactly what I don’t like about this formation. We lose a Center back and we don’t have to change the formation at all because we are still covered there. Playing 3 CBs with 2 defensive mids is redundant and kills our ability to create any sort of attack through the middle.

Christ we're getting dismantled. And this is all Cavalry's doing.

Just shocking decision making by Cavalry players all half. Unreal how bad they look. Guess we'll have to get a result against Forge on Tuesday.

Wanderers would pretty much be in the final right now if they weren't robbed last game against Forge with the worst penalty decision of the tournament going against them.

Why would the ref give a yellow for time wasting and then not add any extra time on? Oh well, gotta beat the Forgery now.

Have to say, Tommy got the lineup all wrong today.

Insisting on a 3 man backline after the embarassing performance from Boskovic against Pacific. Shoehorning Northover into a wingback role when he's never excelled on the offensive side of the game while putting Farsi on the side he least excels at. Starting Zebie in an attacking mid role.

Cavalry looked terrible until Mavila, Cordova and Pepple came on and by the time the subs were made, it was too late.

Very strange first half. Wheeldon on Garcia was never going to be a good idea. Jay tried to send Garcia a message with that first challenge and it definitely backfired.

Tuesday will be very interesting. Do the Cavs have enough firepower to beat Forge? It would be one of the best moments in this club's short history to take out Forge under such adversity.

A victory over Forgery on Tuesday would instantly become the number one best moment in club history.
Come On You Cavs!

Camargo and Pasquotti are out for the rest of the tournament. Ledgerwood is a game time decision.

Think you can wrap this one up, too many injuries up front and inconsistent play all tournament.

FFS, what a damn shame. They were looking good despite all the injuries before they decided to implode immediately on Saturday.

How long between the CPL final and the Canadian Championship game? Wondering if there was a miracle and they made it through if anyone would be possibly back for that game.

I guess the silver lining is I'll likely get to cheer on TFC as they curb stomp Forge.

Agreed that it doesn’t look good and injuries/lack of internationals has really hurt the Cavs to an almost comical extent.

To play devil’s advocate, Pasquotti has been terrible aside from a few moments before injury, and the team has found ways to win without Camargo.

Ledgerwood and Trafford are critical though, when they are on their game, the team is just that much more stable and consistent.

It’ll be an ugly one, but maybe a front three of Brown, Cordova and Haber gets it done, with a heavy emphasis on team defence and dominating the midfield. Forge haven’t looked dominant either.

I’m an eternal optimist and go Cavs go!

Need to stay compact at the back, frustrate Forge and hope for a moment of magic
