The Rehearsal is amazing, but nothing has quite reached the awkward TV levels of Nathan For You's "The Hunk" quite yet.
Also watched Sandman ep1, and as a massive fan of the graphic novel run it's like 70% there. The vibe, visuals, etc. are all bang on, but the cinematography and direction suffers from Xena Disease/Sam Raimi-itis a bit. Facial shot framing is too static and way too ####ing close.
Might be intended as being "evocative" of comic books, but it just reminds me of playing a console game with a low FOV.
Watched three more eps of Sandman and can confidently say that after the first episode, the cinematography and direction get magnitudes better. Solid adaptation so far, B+
This is the only mention of Black Bird I found in this thread. And it deserves more. If Paul Walter Hauserdoesn't win every award possible for his performance in this series it's because;
a) I know nothing of acting
b) Those voting know nothing of acting.
I just finished episode 4 but man...you are not wrong.
I'll spoiler it in case, but its not really a spoiler.
Spoiler!
That just ever-so-slight change of demeanor right at the final seconds of E4 when he's talking to his brother....wow.
Hauser is killer in this show.

Also watched the two available eps of The Bear and thought they were great. There's this chaotic, claustrophobic energy that both turns you off and sucks you in at the same time.
A League of Their Own began streaming on Amazon yesterday. I could barely make it through the first episode. It's so, painfully slow, and not one of the characters roped me in with so much as an ounce of charisma. I might give it another go if word of mouth lures me back in, but for now I'm out.
New upcoming series based on the high school years of Tegan and Sara Quin while growing up in Calgary. I believe it was also filmed in and around the area.
