Question (perhaps better for the Random Question Thread) for those in AHS (or with partners/friends in AHS). Looks like my wife is going to be part of the move to Primary Care Alberta but as she's on mat leave we think she's not getting all the info. She's reached out to her supervisor and manager (who she has excellent relationships with) but is there anywhere else we should go? Additionally, has anyone seen HSAA's transition agreement posted anywhere? It's not on the primarycarealberta website
What a mess, talk about building the plane as they attempt to fly it.
Can DM if we don't want to derail the thread

I would not bet on any norms or traditional barriers that governments have faced in the US applying to Trump this term. That includes permitting and regulatory approvals.
He's going to be all out blitzing on basically every presidential power frontier. The SC has proven that they are totally disinterested in containing or limiting his power. The states along the route of keystone are all heavy Trump supporters and his popularity is such in these places that the governors are afraid of him. Some of them will be up for reelection mid way through his term, which means they will basically do whatever he wants to ensure that he doesn't oppose their nominations when the time comes.
I don't think it is wise to say that he won't be able to do something because it wasn't possible or probable before because of opposition or legal hardship. Those are not really practical barriers for Trump, as has been demonstrated thoroughly over the last 8 years.

That's right in the area of CSV's Karr gas plant and proposed Gold Creek gas plant.
Hey, look at that:

It is harder than that though, the states have processes here and he has basically single handedly ensured that states rights are paramount. It is harder than anybody imagines to get a pipeline built, even if he fast tracks the federal permits it doesn’t even get built in his term.

Alberta’s privacy commissioner has opened an investigation into the provincial government’s withholding of the results of its online survey about the potential creation of a provincial pension plan.

It's easier to lie to the public when you withhold the facts about what the public actually believes. Gaslighting at a provincial scale. Throw 'em all in prison, I say.

Smith said earlier this week that Alberta has been thinking about sending provincial sheriffs, helicopters and drones to the part of the border the province shares with Montana.

Make plans, announce it to the media and do nothing else. Maybe add some “arrests” for the media to report on. Fight the perception that something is wrong with perception that you’re taking action.

Just wanted to remind those that are from Lethbridge that the By-Election advanced voting opened up this week with the actual date being next Wednesday. Was in and out in 2 minutes.

How is Calgary Mayor Elect Kevin J Johnston ever going to make it across that border if patrols ramp up?
