Huh.

Connecticut's victory over San Diego State in the men's national championship game ended up being the lowest-viewed final on record.

The Huskies' 76-59 win averaged 14.69 million viewers on CBS. The previous low was 15.99 in 2018, when Villanova beat Michigan on TBS.

UConn's 2004 victory over Georgia Tech, which averaged 17.09 million, was the lowest on CBS until Monday night. CBS and TBS began alternating Final Fours in 2016.

Still, Monday's game was the most-watched program on television that evening and the most-watched basketball game -- college or pro -- since Kansas' victory over North Carolina in last year's national championship game

So many questions here, but why would a Div-1 school schedule such a non-competitive team? A school that, as per Wiki, has 103 students total. For the confidence boost of crushing someone badly?

A couple decent buckets though, I guess

I don't know how you can run a college with 100 people.

Apparently there are way more college basketball divisions that I realized. Below Div 1, 2 and 3, there is NAIA, and NJCAA. Then below that there, is NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) and Oak Hills is in the second division of that division!

I tried looking into it, and apparently North Dakota State had a team leave their conference, and they were scrambling to fill 2 slots on their schedule, and this was particularly tough because it was in exam weeks for a lot of schools. Still, you think there would be some d3 team willing to take a buy game.
