Except this time it will be Michael on the holodeck of the Discovery playing the Picard scenario through as she decides to run for Federation President.

You know there's a Discovery tie in happening here.

Discovery already tied in with Picard with having the Qowat Milat. I honestly think that them sending the show to the far future was letting them do whatever they wanted and likely wouldn't want to tie things back that neatly. They even referenced robo Picard when talking about putting Gray into a body. (which I suppose isn't as silly as I thought it was after just rewarching the DS9 episode Fascets for the pod)

This week's PICARD is everything that folks either love or hate about the show.

those of us who sail the high seas are able to watch episode very very quickly.

I like the episode this week, but it still had too much Raffi.

I work from home most days, and I sometimes watch before work.

6 minutes into the episode and my first note is...

Someone breathalyze the steady-cam guy...because he is drunk.

Unexpected closure on a tng story thread left dangling.

I liked it as well. Anothee good TNG episode, but the Worf / Raffi thing at the end was kind of gimmicky. The Vulcan gangsters was interesting. Kind of the like the Romulans in “Reunification“, but in reverse.

That episode was excellent. It was great to get some closure on the Ro Laren story.

I'm just going to ignore all the things I didn't like, cause as they say ' perfect is the enemy of good'.

See, this is the thing for me...

It feels like they took the concept of a TNG episode and decided to 'Discovery/Riverdale/CW' it.

"What if we took a TNG episode...but made it superficial, dark, twisted and edgy with an inevitably unenviable payoff?"

I was really hoping Worf would stab Raffi until she was dead, and I can't begin to tell you how much I dislike Worf.

Yes. But it owned it.

It didnt try and pretend it was something else with lens flares and shaky-cam.

One thing that was weird was the guy shaking his head when he checked Worf. Usually that’s when the person is conveying some kind of sadness after discovering someone is deceased. I think a nod would have been more in order.
