Right you are. I thought he was moving quite gingerly between points in that game.

EDIT: Something to do with his midsection? Maybe a spasm or something?

The last thing we want to see if Rafa doing a Pete Sampras at his end of the court.

Look at how quick he's hitting that serve, very low ball toss all of a sudden.

EDIT: Well, nothing looked wrong on that point.

Since the 5-2 start in set 1, Shapo has been the better player.

And he has the younger legs.

Nadal isn't going to roll over, but this match is definitely still in doubt

Credit to Shapo for not going away, but man it hurts seeing Nadal like this. Ten years younger and we are all sleeping by now.

Yeah, that's just... nuts. Really shows what Medvedev was talking about in his presser - other players could serve and volley, they just choose not to. But to switch into that mode mid-match, 3+ hours in is... wow.

Cmon Denis, bear down.

EDIT: Nope. Denis's nerves coming into play here. No reason to miss there and now I may get my tiebreak after all.

A 5th and deciding set and still a chance for CHL to see a tie-break

The guts to dig out of that... I'm amazed. I didn't think he had it in him. Thought for sure Nadal would break after he got down 15-40. That's some real mental fortitude from Denis we wouldn't have seen in past years.

EDIT: Nadal going for the MTO. I don't think it's tactical but it certainly is inconvenient for Denis to have to wait.

At least it's not Denis waiting to serve.
