Yeah I think he plays RW and C, decent at face offs too.
As for trading Stone.
Our RHD depth chart:
Hamilton
Hamonic
Stone
Andersson
Fox
Now I know Brodie can play the right side, they also said Hanifin can as well. Plus, IIRC, Kylington played the right side as a left hand shot quite a bit in the past. Even still, I find it highly unlikely that the Flames would deal 3 RHD so quickly like that. Guess we'll see.

I assume Brodie on the right side and Andersson is a lock on the team which makes Stone expendable but I get what you are saying.

Buyout would carry a cap hit of $2.17M this season and $1.22M next.

So what are we saying here? The cost of acquisition for Ennis/Coyle would be how low?
We talking about a functioning NHL roster player? Some expiring RFA contracts?
We're tacking on 7.8m of cap minny wants gone. They're not going to take Brouwer. thats too much term for them I think.

Not a top end prospect, someone like Klimchuk maybe?

Zucker just broke out so I'm guessing he'd cost a little more.

Haha Kevin Hayes posted this after the 1st round of the draft (video has NSFW language)

Brooks said the Flames were one of the most interested teams in Hayes, but that they went in a different direction with Lindholm and Hanifin

I love his enthusiasm on staying put however if the Rags decide to deal him there is the square root of F all he can do about it.

Yup, I think he posted the video in relief. He probably thought he was getting traded on Friday with all the rumors swirling.

Maybe he has signed an extension that just hasn't been announced?

The Flames still need a little more offense, but they're pretty much all out of assets to get some with.
Gotta think Ottawa is desperate to be rid of Ryan, and I think he can still be a 50 point guy.
Maybe Anaheim moves on from Perry? He'd be an excellent acquisition imo though I can't see him ending up in the division.
Any other targets that might come cheap?

Not that I’d ever want to take on that $8 mil contract but man could you imagine Perry teaching Chucky the art of D-baggery?

Winnipeg looking to lose a contract to bring in Stastny
Don’t know if there is a fit, but Mathieu Perreault could probably be had.
Wouldn’t want to give up much, maybe send them Frolik back at 50% retained?

Tkachuk is already good at it imo.
Could you imagine a line of Tkachuk - Bennett - Perry though?
I may be in the minority, but trading Brouwer for Perry wouldn’t be the end of the world. We get a better player out of it. Perry not too long ago was a 50 goal scorer. It wouldn’t be outlandish to see him pot 30 again.

That's what winning a Stanley cup and career best points will get you in the last year of your contract.

Jason Spezza. I see a low acquisition cost and very low risk with only a year left on his deal, and I have no doubt he is still extremely skilled.
