One is a pending UFA, Hamilton has 3 years left on his contract. Would be absolutely stupid if the Flames tried to add Brouwer to any Hamilton deal.

The cup finals is still fresh and other GMs are vulnerable. This is the best time to try and make a deal. It's just up to BT to make a good one.

That would be foolish.

Treliving's job is to improve the team, and if he can make improvements today, then he needs to be active. At the very least, he needs to be talking and listening to the other 29* GMs in the NHL. If he is not fielding a tonne of calls today, then it is fair to suggest that he is not doing his job.
