Well, that was an interesting leg. Dave and Irina are out of 'tricks' to get ahead, and they didn't even get first place for their efforts. I can't believe that she didn't do the water stunt. That didn't look hard at all. Might have been all of 15 seconds.
A lot of cab stealing going on this episode, too. I was amused with all the "I'll pay you double!"'s that I heard.
The preview blurb for the following week says they're going to Saskatoon.
That means leg 7 will be the earliest they might leave Canada, this is the longest stretch without leaving the country since season one, when they never left.

Are they leaving the country this time? I'm starting to think they probably aren't. The first year, I was really disappointed when I learned it was all within Canada, but it turned out to be okay. I think I would tire of the show quickly if they eliminated the international aspect of it/
It's also the most-watched show in Canada during the summer, so I don't think it's in any danger of cancellation. They might decide to stay in Canada based on what the sponsors are looking to promote.
The thing I always found odd was when they did the international trips for only one leg at a time, then fly back to Canada. I believe they did that because of the Air Canada sponsorship and they only flew AC routes. Now, that they're not tied to that, they should leave the country for a few more legs at a time to cut down the costs. It's not like domestic travel is entirely cheap in Canada.

I was flipping through the Sun the other day, and caught an article/interview with Jon. It had some mild/minor spoilers for the season/next episode.
Season spoiler
Spoiler!
They aren't leaving Canada this season
Next Episode Spoiler
Spoiler!
Jon is very disappointed with the teams in the next episode, as there is apparently a record number of penalties taken and he's not impressed with the 'quitters', to the point it shows in his interactions with them on the checkstop mat.

That was a frustrating episode to watch. I really have a hard time watching those 2 sad excuses for human beings. Though it was nicely countered by Aarthy and Thinesh, and all the other camaraderie going on.

Yeah, I can’t remember a team on any Amazing race that I’ve hated before. What a useless team. I have no idea how they won two legs.
This leg was really poorly designed. When multiple teams take the penalty and it starts to look like it will be shorter than the task, that's not a good thing.
Dave and Irina really are horrible human beings.
I loved how all the other racers that were there at the end hugged, and Dave and Irina just stood off to the side. Yes, everyone hates you.
I thought Aarthy and Vinesh were crazy for not using their express pass, but I loved how that whole situation with them and Anthony and James turned out in the end. Normally I think "It's a race!" but they each were able to help each other and tie for second right in front of Dave and Irina. Beautiful! Although for a moment when Jon said, "However..." I was worried that they were going to be penalized for not going into the cave to find the letters.
Only disappointment with this leg was that Dave and Irina were not eliminated, but at least this way we can (hopefully) see them get beat down again in the future!
"I hope the goats bite him. Like, right in the ass."
This week, there were so many penalties taken, it was like watching the Battle of Alberta in the 80s.
It is a poorly-designed task when it's better to take a penalty than finish it. They should change the penalty rules so that it's the penalty time added to the amount of time it took the slowest team to complete the challenge.
That was quite impressive that James knew the clue without even doing the challenge.
