Ugh could easily have been 2-0 Villa, beautiful goal by Grealish but one mistake by Mings and it’s 1-1

great cross by Pereira. Needed that after being embarrassed by Grealish all half.

Villa must be gutted with the result at HT, easily the better team so far.

Villa definitely dominating midfield but like most games this year, don’t seem to be able to take a strangle hold in the game. Expect United to look better in the second half

The United result is largely immaterial (although losses are fun!) but....and I hesitate to hope....could Everton do us a solid here?

you've won 13 out of 14 dude. Really no need to hope for Leicester losses here lol.

Look here you....I am inherently pessimistic by nature and I understand that a lot of things have been going well for Liverpool thus far, this is unlikely to be a trend that continues and so when it does end, and it will, in true Liverpool fashion when it does it will be a crashing and devastating sequence of events.

Thus I hope for as big a cushion as possible.

I get all of that still don't think Leicester is that much of a threat. City has enough quality to go an insane run though. If anyone can pose some sort of threat, it's still them IMO.

but honestly, at this point I think only you guys can take this away from yourselves.

At this point I'm thinking a few key injuries or suspensions over the congested Christmas period where we're in the Club World Cup and the Cariboo Cup as well as the league in conjunction with City getting key players healthy again as well as undoubtedly buying some new ones could still turn this season around.

So for now I'll take any help we can get.

Damnit so classic, it’s like watching the Flames being a Villa fam, Grealish with a golden chance at one end and then let one in right away

It really is injuries that is the potential roadblock. I don’t even think it can be fear of choking, this group has shown some serious heart and guts. And as great as Man City’s squad is they’ve also been battered with injuries and just don’t look the kind of team who can do a 15-20 match winning streak that is necessary.

Its a totally different group with a different mentality so maybe they've bred the choke out of the core, I dont know. But they also havent really shown the cut-throat of mentality of taking games and killing them off which means they're playing every game all the way to the end, that takes a toll.

City similarly, they've pulled off miracles before but their group is also older, could be tired of needing miraculous runs, who knows?

Its a great place to be in after 14 games, its almost impossible to be any better, but you still ponder possibilities.

great result lol. Numerous teams dropped points this weekend, and you can't take advantage of that by taking care of business at home vs Villa? And not even that, you're the second best team on the field? Come on now. Unacceptable.

I wish the game Wednesday was on a weekend instead. It’s really difficult for me to see and at the same time it’s a really important game!
