Bad Boys for Life pacing for a $70M opening weekend. Will Smith's streak of being a box office dud is officially over! I won't get to it til next weekend, looking forward to it though. Reviews surprisingly good.

You know what I meant. His solo "starring vehicle" projects have been duds for almost a decade. Aladdin and Suicide Squad are big hits with or without Willy.
The Rise of Skywalker finally crossed the half billion mark domestically this weekend after crossing one billion worldwide a couple of weeks ago.
Its performance really dropped off once the New Year started. It is solidly in 3rd place for 2019 domestically, but it's unlikely to catch The Lion King at this point. In fact, now it looks like it won't even outgross Rogue One, which I find surprising given its start.

Birds of Prey is coming out next week, what's everyone's excitement level at this point? Me, I'm at like a 8.5/10, really feeling what I have seen so far (then again I liked Suicide Squad). I'm going with an opening weekend prediction of $75 mill

I have been a bigger fan of most of the DC movies than many and have seen every one so far in theater, but I have ZERO inclination to see Birds of Prey. Looks like a cringe fest to me. Im sure Ill check it when its streaming but no way I pay $ to go to a theater to see it.
I think its looking at $50-$55 opening and a huge 60%+ drop off for second weekend. I think its going to have a pretty disappointing box office run and will almost certainly be the lowest grossing DCEU film across the board.
Harley Quinn is a huge character and this is only the 2nd time she is appearing on the big screen. I think this will make more than Shazam , I'm going with $450 mill world wide which will be enough for a sequel/spin-off.
I'll probably watch it on Netflix or something, but have no burning need to see it in theatres. If something were to convince me to watch it in theatres though it is definitely the Harley Quinn cartoon series.
As neither a huge fan of DC or cartoons, Harley Quinn is still one of my favourite shows right now.

Disappointing previews for BOP bringing in only $4 million. Need great word of mouth and lots of repeat business for this to turn around. If things don't turn around then I guess we can kiss Gotham City Sirens, Birds of Prey (w/o Harley) and any Harley solo projects good bye and will only get Harley showing up in Suicide Squad films.
An R rating for Birds of Prey may have been a mistake. That rating is going to cut into the teenage (and tween) girl audience where Harley has a lot of popularity.
