Glad that now is finally the time.
Will be interested to see if this game the Flames have a much easier time scoring compared to last series as a whole.
The dome is gonna be wild. Gonna be a fun night.

I'm way older but it's interesting that my son is pretty much the same age as I was in 1991.
Has made for an interesting comparison in our house. Your kids seem so young, always, but I felt so old when that series took place.

Edmonton media just kills me ... they all try and get the opposition to talk about the Oilers on pretty much every question.
It's so strange.
I'm sure Dallas was asked the odd question about containing the Flames top line but it's so over the top.

Stay out of the box and away from stuff after the whistle. Calgary is better 5 on 5 so keep it that way. If this series is played 5 on 5 then they should win.

He is supposedly playing. Remember, he is better than every other player even at 60% efficiency.

Would piss me off as an intelligent No Goods fan, the long term health of Leon is more important than game 1. As hard as that is to say. Of course I want Tanev in but if he's not ready don't jeopardize his health.
Of course there are no intelligent No Good fans

If he is hurt we will know as they will keep his ice time down to around 28 minutes

Would be great for the Flames to repeat their 9 goals at ES last time around! After the coaching change they have improved at 5v5 but we should still have an edge.

I think it’s pretty awesome that the Flames are still playing and it’s round two! Game 1 in a new series in the BOA and I’m not really feeling any pressure although I think it’s best for the Flames to win game 1 which I think they will. I picked the Flames in 5.
Go Flames!

Jen Gerson's words are 5 years old now, but they seem to ring true for all of past, present and future regarding Edmonton vs Calgary.

My initial thought looking at those PK comparisons and seeing the Oilers far out front are that this must be some mistake, since the Flames penalty kill v. Dallas was absolutely incredible. But then, I suppose a lot of it has to do with just how bad LA's power play was in Round 1.

4-2 for the Flames with our top line having a big night after a huge game 7.

Just for the sake of posterity, that game also happened after the coaching change.

In the case of Draisaitl, if it is indeed a high ankle sprain, there really is no risk to further damage, but it is a very painful and limiting deal.
We dont know what the Tanev malady is exactly, but whatever it is it must be uber painful....he is a hockey warrior and it takes something semi-serious to make him miss games.
I hope they can exploit the LD injury though. Such a sour guy.

Everything that needs to be said has been said. Keep focused, play your game, play 5 on 5.
Tkachuk especially will need to focus himself and not go running around like he did v Klingberg. If he sees a chance to railroad Kassian take it, but don't go looking for it.
I am strangely calm.
