Needless to say, the Battle of Alberta is the hottest ticket in town and everybody wants in. Even the undesirables. Luckily the Flames have a gatekeeper who's more than capable of keeping out the rabble:
Spoiler!
Go Flames

Ah yes, the 1991 Joyride album. That means the Oilers are going to get "The Big L." The fans will be "Hot Blooded," so enough "Small Talk," this will be a "Perfect Day!"
The Battle of Florida was a complete dud last night, I’m confident the Battle of Alberta will show them the blueprint of how rivals really treat one another: passion, hate, and no mercy!
Go Flames!
pretty amped up for the game today. happy to be on the bandwagon for this series and be part of the 2nd elimination of the oilers in the playoffs in 2 short years. #### you edmonton i dont forget the 80s playoffs.

I was 14 and living my last two years in Calgary the last time this happened. I did not know at the time that would be the last BOA in the playoffs. It happened more often than not back then.
I also did not know that life would change two years later, mostly for the better, when I moved to Ontario. You could not have told me at that time that it would be the right move, but it was for me and my family.
One thing that never left though was my passion for the Flames. I am so ridiculously pumped for tonight!
My kids are roughly the same age that my sister and I were at that time. They have a much easier life than we did and I have to remind myself of that daily as they are struggling through things all of the time. My son only has a passing interest in hockey on TV, (he's almost always up to going to a game and we do go to Columbus every year, pandemic excluded, and try to get to others). I am hoping that he will watch tonight and that hockey can maybe be the escape from the day-to-day issues that come at that (and any) age, as it was and sometimes still is for me.
Anyway, I am not predicting anything other than this game will be a tone setter and the Flames will play a good game. I will say that the Flames will win the series in 6. Go Flames Go!
