This series should be very good as well. I hate Tampa, so I'm going for the Pantero's all the way. Panthers in 7.

Your worst fear is coming true in game 1

Changes likely coming in Florida if they don't at least make this a long series. Huberdeau, Barkov, Ekblad complete no-shows in these playoffs. Bob not that great either. Verhaeghe and Giroux bailed them out in round 1.

Does it sound to anyone else like Bartlett has a couple marbles in his mouth when he's talking? Most words are clear enough, but every now and then a word comes out fuzzy. Maybe it's just weird sound balance as you can hear a lot of rink sounds (which is great), but Millen seems fine.
Ball really deserved that Florida assignment.

I've seen this movie before, and I ####ing hate how it ends.
Time to change the narrative. Stop taking stupid penalties. Fix the special teams. Check Kucherov tighter.
There. I should be a head coach.

Well those three skaters do have 4, 6 and 5 points respectively so it’s not like they haven’t done anything in 7 games.
I was never sold on Bob for the contract he got so no arguments there.
The problem with FLA is their PP is in shambles right now.
If they don’t figure that out they will be out.

Yeah Kucherov was feeling it last night and Tampa is full of guys who would look at Point being out as a challenge not adversity.
Florida just need to park it and move onto the next one. They had really good numbers to start and the game slipped away from them. Double down on pressure that they put in at the start of the game.

They need a new one for sure. Bad starts and special teams continue to be the story in the playoffs and zero adjustments. Brunette is as green of a HC as can be and it shows.

He's lucky that's all he got.
Lots of stupid mistakes in that game, that was just a highlight.

If you look at the 3 Panther losses, those 3 players them combined for just 3 total points in those games. Meanwhile, in games 5 and 6 vs the Caps, it was largely Verhaeghe and Giroux doing the heavy lifting offensively to put the team into round 2.
The Panthers' stars haven't produced nearly as much as they should have, and it's costing them. To your point, both their PP and their PK haven't been nearly good enough.

Limit penalties? Okay, it was better.
Fix the special teams? Lost that battle again. Let in a powerplay goal against and failed to score, especially late in the third when it would have meant the game.
Check Kucherov tighter? Massive fail with 5 seconds to go. Weegar should never play another game in these playoffs.

Yikes. I wasn't so sure about the 5 forward powerplay at that point of a 1-1 game. If you don't score it pretty much guarantees the last minute or so will be TBL's big guns against FLA's 3rd/4th line. Brutal decision by Weegar, but I wonder if another line gets that puck out in the first place.

Gut check time for Florida. They have been one of the best home teams this season and dropped both. They need the next one and can build from there. Vasilevskiy seems to be finding his game which is not good for any team in the east. Goalie Bob did his job yesterday but no goal support.

Perry makes it 1-0 TB right after TB 2 min PP, thanks to Sam taking an OZ careless penalty.
