What underlying stats does bergeron do so well that gets him this nomination? Obviously +/- is probably the most important consideration for this trophy, or else Lindholm does not get nominated. Bergeron is ranked 35th in +/- in the entire league. Is it something else in his game that is head and shoulders above others, can anyone provide stats

But everyone still refers to the greatest sporting trophy in the world by the name of the guy who donated it, even though he never played a game of hockey in his life.
