Quick review from last night, it was a pretty cool experience and my kids enjoyed seeing the Boston Dynamics robotic dog that they brought out.

Biggest disappointment for me was the poor resolution on the large scale format. They had the game streaming via the NHL Gamecenter feed and the resolution was 1080 at best and to the point where it was nearly unwatchable. We left after the second and went home to watch the third.

My brother got me a ticket for last night there.

It was pretty unwatchable and bad. the screen. The atmosphere was great and that host guy was good.

But that was NOT 1080p. Might have been dvd quality 480p. LOL Also at the beginning they couldn't get the sound synced. At least they fixed that after the 1st period.

Good to experience once but will not go back.

It doesn't. It looked like DVD quality.

25% of the people left after the 1st period. After the 2nd intermission it was only 1/3 full.

Oh man, they broadcasted a gamecenter feed? Not the way to go man. That feed has always felt/looked compressed watching online. You'd want the feed straight off of a local provider in the highest quality possible.

I have to wonder if they ran a test presentation last week to see what the stream quality was like and if they did I'm surprised they thought it was acceptable and went ahead with the screening. If not, I hope they learned something from last night and will be able to improve the presentation for upcoming games.
