There's the goalie. Moved to NA at 16. Has drawn some comparisons to Vasilevskiy.

committed to the university of Connecticut like Kuznetsov.
He is already playing in NA so that is a good sign.

Great pick by Calgary Flames getting Russian Arsenii Sergeev. Big, athletic- super kid. Works hard. Headed to UConn in 2022. Upside- needs to refine his mechanics in USHL this season with Tri-City

Taking a goalie every year in the 7th should be standard operating procedure

Sergeev had better numbers than Connor Hellebuyck or Keith Kinkaid had in their draft years, in the same league....NAHL

So they've drafted every position now?
I like this pick.
Does a goalie have 92%+? If so, then I like him.
Arseni Sergeev's 93.6% is a bit overkill.

Hockey Prospects Black Book calls Sergeyev "raw, yet athletically gifted".
"The size, the physical tools and traits are eye catching when he’s making highlight reel saves, but he’s going to have to clean up a ton of his game in order to be successful at the pro level, and we just haven’t seen a goalie prospect at his age, whose as raw as he is, make it into the NHL in a long, long time."

Rebound control and positioning will be keys , sounds like he already has good recovery and puck tracking. I find these goalies develope better than goalies that have great mechanics but meh athleticism

Seems similar to Chechelev but has a different road to the NHL through the NCAA. If either of them hit, the Flames will be in good shape. Low risk, high reward pick IMO.

Decent project. I would have liked us to trade up to get gaudreau but this is not without upside. Strong draft From buttons boys.
