Cool! Love Klimchuk. Still think he can carve out a career as a third liner. Hoping he can show it

How the heck did Hrivik hurt himself? Tendinitis from lifting his elbow while eating popcorn?

I think they'll roll with Lazar and Lomberg until something goes wrong. So I'd be surprised to see Klimchuk get a game unless Lomberg decides to fight another 6'3 guy and gets ko'd.

I know others may not agree but would love to see:
Klimchuk- Backlund - Frolik
Bennett- Jankowski- Tkachuk
Really think that Klimchuk has the makings of a strong 200ft player and that he’d be a good fit on that line.

Based on practice on Wednesday, it looked like Hrivik was going to draw in to the Preds game. I suspect he got injured during Thursday's morning skate.

Most likely, I was just being a smart ass. He hasn't played any games and there were a few times when GG suggested he might make another move in the lineup but that never came to pass. My guess is that Hrivik was considered for the lineup over the past few games but something must have been nagging.

Good for the kid...he has worked hard to get a shot. Hopefully he runs with it.

Yes, Good for him. A Calgary boy getting a shot with the big club. I hope he actually sees a game, though I kind of doubt it.

Hope he gets a game. Really would love to see him pan out in to a middle 6 player.

I really want Klimchuk to get his shot. I think he should have recieved the shot that Shinkaruk recieved last year.
Cool. I hope he sticks for a few weeks to show what he can do.

Drafted 5 years ago, still awaiting his first nhl game.
I hope he comes in hungry and something to prove.
Always just assumed he'd eventually pan out in some capacity for the flames.

I still hang onto Ferraro's assessment of Klimchuk on that draft day. Called him a Steve Larmer type. We need a Steve Larmer

He is the only player chosen in the first 35 picks of the 2013 Draft who hasn't played a single NHL game.
If he sees action, he'll also be the fifth player from the first round of 2013 to suit up in the NHL for the Flames.
