That's odd.

Francis didn't spin doctor this into something more dramatic and click worthy.

I was hoping it was just a crunched nut.
The way he went down had that look about it.

I have problems with the labrums in both of my hips and occasionally I move the wrong way and am in excruciating pain for a few seconds and then it is okay. Obviously a labrum problem for a goalie is not good, but this may be an explanation.

Well, while he was hanging around in the vicinity of the dressing room with his press credentials, did he not ask someone what Smith’s status may be?

Ha ha, did really look like that actually. Slightly embarrassing way to leave the ice at the end of a successful performance

No question it was his groin. After watching that. I don’t think it’s that serious but a few weeks off isn’t going to shock me

Mike Vernon was not lighting the minors on fire when he was recalled and went on to take the team to the Cup in 1986.

Maybe Rittich or Gillies do the same.

Maybe Smith is back in a week.

Yes Francis but even small pulls in the groin lets you walk ok but can linger for weeks when you actually have to move around and strech. Speakimg from expeirnce in goal.

I had one minor pull that would be fine 85% of the time till I needed to really spread out. It wouldnt go aeay for weeks.

It’s time to see if Gillies and Rittich can be an NHL starter down the road.

The club does need to find this out sooner than later as there's one more season of Smith and it will then be decision time.

Am I the only one that thinks it could just as easily be his knee as opposed to the groin?

It was just such an odd sequence, i dont think we can peg it as one obvious thing.

The real victim here is Tkachuk since Frolik didn't drop pass it to allow him to finish his hattrick . #justiceforTkachuk

Yeah walking with a pulled groin is one thing. Doing the splits? No.

But he looked to grab in the vicinity of his groin and not his knee?

I didn't notice that, but if so...no good.

Soft tissue takes so much longer to heal properly.
