I wish him all the best but I imagine he clears. Will lol if Arizona or Buffalo claim him though.

Doesn’t he have to go on waivers to go to Kladno? Get some playing time there, and then comes back for the stretch

Unconditional, so that's it. Not just a conditioning stint. He won't be back.

Thanks for your time here Jagr, loved having him as a flame!

No.
The message is the Flames do not want him.
Its somewhat embarrassing to go on waivers for someone with his legacy. This was a product of disagreement between Jagr and the Flames -despite the talk of them 'working together' on this.

Too bad, but Jagr is going to go down as an example of one year too long, missing training camp was a problem.
He just doesn't have NHL wheels anymore and his hands just didn't look good.
Good luck Jagr, I hope another team picks you up, but I doubt it.

Based on what?
If he wanted to go back to Europe this was the only way
The two sides agreed up front if it wasn’t working out hey would move on
Seems like that’s what has happened

Its a shame his time with the Flames has to end like this. I would've loved to have him around the team all year while riding the LTIR but the man wants to keep playing hockey. Gotta respect that.

He could have retired from the NHL with dignity - no waivers.

Whatever. Lots of folks here were sold hook line and sinker on the whole Jagr deal. Was never anything but distraction from off ice news in the Fall.

If it's regular waivers I wonder if he'd go down to ahl for playing time or be loaned for olypics or be loaned to European club. Also he showed glimpses of being effective - the nagging injury and tlack of training camp just never allowed him to find a groove.

I don't believe he would be able to play in Europe this season if he retired with a valid NHL contract.

But then he couldn't play for Kladno if I understand the transfer agreement properly.

Sold what? Your posts lack substance, just some very vague hints at... a cover-up?

Jagr's ending up in Europe. His NHL time is done, unless he gets claimed tomorrow -- which I doubt.

Isn’t it a two step process (regular waivers and if no takers then unconditional waivers)?
