Ferland and Backlund have been playing great together, I wouldn't break them up.
I would however put Bennett with Backlund and Ferland, they've looked good together on the second PP, not sure why Hartley just doesn't make them a line.

The way Ferland is playing, he would help Johnny and Monahan.
And that is far more important than how Backlund is playing

Yes they do - you missed the point.
They are the first line, where the majority of the offense is going to come from, but they are being anchored by having RWs that can't contribute.
Getting a better RW on the top line helps the team far more than having chemistry with Backlund on the 3rd line.
