There is no way Chris is going out They have built way to much of a character arc for him to go out like chump. I mean, it would be awesome, but the writers seam to think they are to clever for that.
I keep wondering if he dies as I saw him in an episode of Agents of SHIELD last week.

Sadly you are correct, I think.
It was interesting in the preview for next week his buddies show up at the gate.

I don't know if anyone cares about spoilers for this dumpster fire, but ok...
Spoiler!
Ok, maybe it's just me, but I thought that was a totally rip-off the way they did Chris. I mean, to kill him in a flash back? I guess I was wrong, they did have him go out like a chump. 2 seasons I've been waiting to have his face torn off by a walker, and this is how they do it? Ugh. Not even related to his character arc they built. So weak.
And then, in the next episode we get the entire bad guy army taken out off screen. By walkers! Come on, man! Show us some fun!
And of course we've got that other girl I can't remember her name, who has a truck, some walkers come buy and she just forgets that she could fix it and carry on. Nope, walker in the hood, it's a writeoff! Better set out across the expansive featureless desert. I guess a setup for next season, they just kinda abandon her.
Travis is still a chump.
Strand is all, "I ain't going with you", then holds a gun to the other group and says "we gotta go", and then is all, naw, I'm gonna take my lumps here with these people that a week ago wanted to kill me. Seriously? go with the Partridge family already. Geez.

I thought the second half of the season really picked it up, and I think it's heading into season 3 with momentum it didn't have before. Unlike the end of the first season or the mid-season finale, I am actually interested in what happens next.
Chris' death seems a little rushed, but I think it actually fit in order to deepen Travis' character. That was quite a transformation, and you could see it slowly coming over 2 seasons. Decent payoff, and I hope they have something more to give going forward.
Dayton Callies coming into the series is a bonus.

The whole Travis beat down scene was ridiculous. They finally broke some glass and got in at the end but before that they just stood there telling him to stop. Scene score 1/10.
Strand's flip flopping back and forth? Really lame. Scene score 1/10.
Alejandro's driving the bus away was cool, but the whole bunch of dudes with massive guns couldn't survive an afternoon? Alejandro part 10/10. Gang dudes dying in seconds 1/10. Total scene score 5/10.
The redneck border dudes was cool. Scene score 10/10.
At least they killed of Chris. Was hoping Travis takes a bullet but he survives. Don't think Maddie, Travis, Alisha or Nick are gonna die anytime soon. Don't mind Alisha and Nick. Parents are really dumb.
Agree on the Travis part. I was yelling at the TV, break the door! It's wood! There are, like, 4 of you! Try the glass, reach down and unlock it! WTF is wrong with you people????

Then she does a total flip in the next scene. No biggie I've killed someone recently too, lets go make out now.

I think Nick is such an awesome character. Pragmatic, adaptive and resourceful. Just like in his previous junky life. All the odds are against him, but he finds a way to survive. I think it's so cool.
The exact opposite of mancho ultra man Rick Grimes (whom I also think is awesome sauce).
I also think it was really cool (and refreshing) that the show was basically based in Mexico instead of another standard group of white people with your standard issue minority insertions somewhere in America. Looks like that might all change though in season 3.
I wish the show spent a little more time on the initial outbreak though and developed that a little more. Halfway through season 1, it was basically The Walking Dead 2.0. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I just wish there was a little more story development of initial outbreaks.
So apparently the third season started yesterday. I noticed a sidebar headline that mentioned it on a site I was on today. I had completely forgotten about it.
The lack of someone posting a review here kinda says a lot.
This show is so bad. I am at huge walking dead fan but this show is just boring. it's slow none of the characters are likeable I just want them to cancel it already. Now better call Saul on the other hand that is a freaking masterpiece.
