So, if he does well next year - is that when we start to worry that he might not sign with the Flames?

Nice. He was listed by some as one of the biggest risers this year.

I live in Penticton and have had a few chances to watch Suniev play. He and the two Nadeau brothers created one of the most potent lines in recent BCHL memory.

Suniev was a man amongst boys. A stocky 6'2" with a good skating stride and a nose for the net. The brothers got a lot of love, but he created a ton of space and had great vision, especially on the power play. An accurate shot helped put up 45 goals.

He will have to work on the edges and first step but a really solid pick up.

If you haven't already started worrying, are you even a Flames fan?

Another great pick! Very high upside if he can improve his skating.

I feel like the Conroy era is gonna be focusing more on quality picks even if we don’t draft high in the 1st round

I love this pick. He looks like he has a howitzer on the powerplay.

Looks like he's got a good tool kit. Will be interesting to see him at UMass and see how he does against men. Has the size to compete and appears to have the wheels, just needs a motor tune up. That should come in college.

Sounds like he has to work on his skating but talent is there. I like what the Flames have done today.
