sucks. Steelers effectively lose their bye week, assuming the game is pushed to week 7 and Steelers-Ravens to week 8. I get that it's not the Titans' fault either, but the Steelers are getting shafted here.

Imagine we'll have a few other postponements by the end of the season, so fully expect we'll have a decent sized "week 18" to clear those games (assuming they don't rejig to use the byes)

Also, what did Fox do to Roger Gooddell to get the world's worst TNF schedule?

Week 2: Bengals/Browns
Week 3: Dolphins/Jags
Week 4: Jets/Broncos

After 3 weeks, those 6 teams have a combined 1 win outside of the TNF game itself.

IIRC, every team in the NFL has to play at least once on TNF.

Don't believe that is the case, no. Few teams don't have TNF games this year, and others play multiple.

And even if it were the case, they sure picked some stinker matchups

Thursday night football has always had the worst games. I thought that was well known.

Week 5 and 6 will be great. 7 and 8 will be lame.

9, 10, 11, 13, 14 will all be great games.

15 and 16 will likly be average.

So 7 great games and 7 stinkers/potential stinkers. Not too bad.

It's 100% the case. Every team gets one Thursday night game, and the broadcasters tend to pick the best games to fill their main slots on Sunday.

TNF should just be renamed to "Degenerate Gambler Night In America: Presented by MGM Resorts".

I think it still being early season excitement had something to do with it, but I was actually quite excited for the week 2 TNF, Browns vs. Bengals matchup (which turned out to be an entertaining game too). I feel like I'm the only person outside of Ohio (or Louisiana/Oklahoma) who could say that..

This matchup tonight is the first Thursday/Monday game I have zero juice for and contemplating not even watching it.

I was okay with it too.

Burrows vs Mayfield

Some exciting offensive pieces on each side. Divisional matchup. Early in the season so unclear just how terrible these teams are yet.

I actually had nothing against that matchup at all. This week and next week are bad though, with bad teams outside of the division.

They also want close games. No point having the Jets play Chiefs on Thursday night.

Nope - Steelers, Redskins, Texans, Lions won't play TNF. Yes, Texans played Week 1 on Thursday, but wasn't a TNF game (was the 2020 Kickoff on NBC). With all the games on Thanksgiving, all teams will have a Thursday game, 2 of those are early games.

Darnold’s shoulder clearly injured. Flacco will come in and defeat the Broncos.

You would think eventually Gregg William's would get over the John Kreese imitation thing.

If one is a fan of the refereeing arts such as myself this is a tremendous game. Absolutely no flow or rhythm to get in the way of beautiful call after beautiful call.

I know it is a small sample size thus far but Rypien looks surprisingly good.

Every time they zoom in on this Denver qb with his helmet on, he looks 13.
