Sam Wyche passed away today. Got the Bungals to the Superbowl should tell you how great a coach he was...but remembered a lot for this, as Cincy fans were throwing stuff during a game.
What a great statement, pumped up the Cincy fans. imagine something like this happening now. A NFL or any professional coach taking the mic at a game.

NFL just announced its All-Pro first team selections. 4 Saints made it, including LB Demario Davis and RT Ryan Ramczyk, neither of which were named to the Pro Bowl.. how do you make a first team All Pro list but not the Pro Bowl lol. Michael Thomas and rookie returner Deonte Harris were the other Saints who made it.
Michael Thomas and Pats CB Stephon Gilmore were the only two unanimous selections.

The New England Patriots are expected to be disciplined for acknowledged game-day video violations in Cincinnati, league sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Saturday.
The discipline from the league is likely to come in the next two weeks
Likely some really big fines and a loss of a draft pick if the league uses its first set of disciplines against the Pats as a precedent.

The Dallas Cowboys plan to meet with former Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy on Saturday, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The team is also planning to meet Saturday with Marvin Lewis after already spending some time Friday with the former Cincinnati Bengals coach, a source told ESPN's Todd Archer.
Tua is coming out. Obviously gonna be one of the most fascinating draft stories in recent years. Given QB desperation I still would think he doesn't get past Miami at #5, but I could also see someone like the Raiders with lots of draft capital trying to jump ahead of Miami.

Realistically he couldn't risk another injury in College. Although, he's probably getting paid better in Bama than what his rookie contract will be.
It will be interesting because after you get past Washington at 2 who would certainly seem to want to pick Chase Young, you do have a couple of teams in the Giants and Lions who likely will be willing to drop down a couple places to add some picks for a team wanting a QB.

I'm thinking the Chargers at 6 might be in play. they really needed to have drafted Rivers successor prior to this year though but that's why the Chargers are the Chargers.

Yeah, I would think that the Chargers will need to address the QB position in the draft one way or another. They would need to move up from position 6, but their challenge will be to get in front of the Dolphins who are really well armed with Draft picks to do so. So I don't know if they would want the third best option with their number 6 pick, or if they want to risk dropping back a bit to try and get that player.
The Chargers other problem is that they do need to get some buzz to gain some fans. So whether or not 42 year old Tom Brady can come in and play better than Rivers did this year...he could sell tickets that Rivers can't. Even Tua would generate some buzz, and maybe you can get a veteran to shelter him for the first half of the year.
One thing that Watson, Mahomes, and Jackson have in common is that they didn't get forced into starting in week one on a bad team. Despite the Chargers record, it's not a bad team. They are talented team with a bad record.

Carolina Panthers' Luke Kuechly just called it a career at 28. No reason given for the early retirement except for "it was the right time". As a Saints fan I got to see him twice a year against my team, he was such a warrior. Would give Brees fits.
Also Antonio Gates announced his retirement today as well, after 16 seasons. What a run, I remember when he was hands down the best TE in the league in the early 2000s.

Gates deserved a ring but nonetheless had a great career.
Apparently their was a cop that was threatening to arrest LSU players for smoking cigars in the locker room after the game, because smoking is illegal indoors....... I imagine this is the same cop
