Don't mess up this good thing we've got going, Stone/Rinaldo.

GOAT!

Janx looked like he was on the verge of hitting the scoresheet last game. Would have liked to see his followup effort, but Rinaldo might bring some of the craziness we need to settle the Kings down.

It's no a jinx, it's part of the winning formula! Much like since Ward took over and I've been posting GDT and GT it's been a perfect 3-0! The streak must continue tonight! ALL HAIL JOBU

I pretty much never support swapping Kylington for Stone. I assume it is related to the Kings playing a heavier style of game, but Stone seems to constantly struggle.
A little surprised to see Reider at C. I don't think we will be seeing too much of the 4th line tonight.
Interesting to see Gaudreau back with Lucic and Ryan. I wonder if the coaches liked seeing him with a bit more room and softer match ups to get the confidence going early in the game?
Expecting a big game from Johnny tonight and a win. 5-1 Flames

Kylington makes mistakes but he also covers up for others and sometimes even cleans up his own. Stone doesn't.

Weird in that I think Stone has been pretty good when called upon. He hasn't made a lot of the gaffes that Kylington has been guilty of, particularly of late.
As a 6th D guy he has been pretty much all you could ask for. Hell, I think they should use him on PP2 and let him blast away with that cannon shot at times. Then you add in his physicality in front of the net against heavier teams, and he is doing everything asked of him IMO.
I will agree he can have trouble clearing the zone at times, but that's why you team him with a Brodie.

That line looked awesome last game and with the constant line changing by ward and double shifting of gaudreau it would be quite hard to line match for opposing teams.

What physicality? I keep reading that Stone plays a tough game. Never see it. That cannon of a shot misses more than it hits. He's awful at exiting the zone cause he has a rotten long pass and he's too slow to weather a forecheck.
Now that I've said all this watch him get in a fight and score the winner.

Chucky (and the rest of the Flames) need to focus on their game, forget Doughty and play the way they can. Keep the uptempo pace from (most of) the last game and just give 'er!!

He’s not a big hitter or fighter, but he is solid in the corners and in front of the net, at least certainly in comparison to Kylington

Yeah Stone doesn't hit much but he's good at separating players from the puck along the boards. One of the better D at that.

I'm going to puke if Doughty has another good game against the Flames. The Tkachuk vs Doughty rivalry has been slanted in the Kings favor of late as these games seem to mean more to the Kings. They celebrated the last win like they won the cup. Flames have to match their intensity.

Scoring Winger

Not a huge fan of Stone drawing in. He's been brutal this year, like Matt Bartkowski/Chris Butler bad. He's comfortably dead-last defensively on the team (2.91 xGA/60 - No one else is above 2.54). The Brodie-Stone pair has gotten outscored 2 to 1, and they're actually overperforming at that rate (They're at 32% xGF).

Replacing a third pairing defenceman or fourth line forward should not be a big deal. Especially against a slower team like the Kings.
If anything it’s a promotion for Andersson, who I’m assuming will play with Gio while Brodie reunites with Stone. Andersson has been playing well and deserves it IMO.

Jankowski is presumably out because of illness, and I hope that’s not the case with Kylington - the last thing we need is something like the ‘flu running through the team.
