My god. Gulutzan’s Flames probably had the best record in the NHL in the second half of last season, and now they have one of their best season-starts in the past decade through eight games. He is seriously not the problem.

Flames had 39 shots and plenty of chances...nobody has "figured them out"

Flames are struggling to score enough goals to win hockey games.

Jankowski is a goal per game in the AHL so far, not to mention was almost a goal per game in the pre-season too...

He's got really bad hockey IQ. Starting to believe Mcdavid carried him all those years. He is clueless when he has the puck. He needs to just go to the net and stop trying to skate with the puck so much. Less=more.

Considering how bad we always start, we're 4-4 which is way better than usual. I'm disappointed tonight, but not unhappy with their effort as a whole, that was one if not the most complete games thus far. They'll figure it out.

Why are you even a fan? You clearly have some personal vendetta against Gulutzan. Get a grip man.

Bennett sucks 5 on 5, every time he gets the puck during the cycle he mishandles it. He used to have some really good moments , now there's nothing I like about his game. Looking like a career 3rd liner

I think that was the first time I've ever seen the Flames end up on the winning side of a coach's challenge. As soon as the announcers said it looked onside, I was bracing myself for the inevitable painful reversal from the control centre.

Maybe, maybe it will hit Gulutzan in the head that he should move Bennett to wing.

He said the Flames are going to look back at this game and say they lost it in the 1st period, when they had pucks around the net but didn't put shots on goal.

How can a team that appears to have at least some forward depth, an exceptional defensive top five and solid goaltending continue to look this lackluster every night?

What is the fly in the ointment? I wish I knew because this team should be a lot - a lot better than they play every night.

He was good in the first but the Flames helped him out after taking the lead by just trying to run the clock out and got burned in the end.

They looked good tonight. Didn't win but I would argue it was one of their best games. I wouldn't say they looked lacklustre at all
