You better just hope that 2K Sports' pay to win plans for their NBA game doesn't work out - you can get player bonues for their version of HUT if you buy specially marketed replica jerseys. Basically using jersey sales as $100+ DLC.

While in franchise mode, is there a way to view the stats from past individual games you played?

Can anyone check if this is better? Can you see a player's career stats better -- like, every year and every team he's played for?

You can see stats for every year they have played, and whether it was AHL or NHL, but it doesn't list teams and it doesn't do a comprehensive total.

Is jagr in this game? In hut?

Also, I got a hockey fights cancer pack, sent them all to my collection. Now I can't find any of the hockey fights cancer cards in my collection... Any ideas?

Weird. Try searching just the HFC card types when searching. Or else contact EA and bitch. They might give you some free packs out of it.

Still can't believe there is no 2-player franchise mode available like other great games like MLB The Show and Madden.

Yeah there was the GM connected mode a couple years ago but I don't think many people played it. The ones that played it though loved it.

Yep, it was the best game mode they ever did, and that's in spite of the fact that it was broken (which was the reason relatively few people played it). Menu load times were obscene and there was a 10% chance your league would get corrupted and you'd lose all the work you put in, but just conceptually it was amazing.

Of course, rather than fixing the problems, they had to get rid of it, because it was causing people to spend less time playing HUT, and GM Connected didn't have an easy way for EA to milk people for extra cash.

What annoyed me is somebody from the team addressed its absence by saying "it wasn't popular enough to do again". Perhaps that's true, but I have no doubt a huge number of people were turned off because it didn't work well, not because there wasn't interest in it.

Yes, that was pointed out repeatedly to Sean Ramjagsingh every time he tried to use that argument, and he continued to use the argument. It's not that they weren't aware that functionality was the issue that led to the mode being underused. They know. They just needed an excuse not to devote time to fixing something that wasn't a cash cow when they could be making more money through HUT.

Just got 18. Enjoying it so far, as usual it's slightly better than the last year but not worth full price. Three's mode can be fun for short periods, and the addition of expansion teams to Franchise Mode adds a fun angle to it. Hopefully they patch in the ability to use custom rosters in the expansion modes though. Give me Jagr!

Game is on sale for $49.99 at best buy/ Costco which is about as much as I'll spend on a game. Is it worth upgrading from NHL 16?

Yes. I like 18 a lot more than 17 and foresure 16 even though the changes aren’t huge.

Oh man just bought this game and pretty underwhelmed. 3 on 3 is fun but it takes way too long to find an opponent.
