Throw a hit FFS. Make them think twice about going in the corner. put some wear on their forwards. This is a series.
You don't hit people with your teeth and jaw. It's embarrassing to me a stay at home physical defenseman has 2 hits after 2 games.
Did you watch last game? We need people to be physical and give some push back. You would think Travis Hamonic would understand that.

It's perfectly normal to be worried about the outcome but I don't think there's such thing as a trap game in the playoffs or at least there shouldn't be. The Flames have to approach every game as a must-win this time of the year and looking ahead to the next round is a sure way to get eliminated early.

The Avalanche have done a good job clogging up the neutral zone against the Flames and hitting them on the counter-attack.
I thought the Flames were the better team in Game 1, but not by the margin you would expect against the worst team in the playoffs.
In Game 2, the Flames had an off night and were completely out-classed.
MacKinnon has been outstanding, and his pace plus IQ is giving the Flames fits. Per ThePoint, scoring chances generated off the rush through two games:
Nathan MacKinnon 7
The Flames 9
The rest of the Avalanche 17
Striking considering they state the Flames gave up an average of 6.5/game in the Regular Season.
I love Rasmus Andersson, but his lack of pace on the top pairing worries me. There is a point where even the most efficient decision makers cannot cope with a difference in pure speed and MacKinnon is certainly of that level.
If Andersson has difficulty keeping up I wouldn't mind seeing Peters go power-vs-power and matching a Giordano-Hamonic pairing with the MacKinnon line - like he experimented with against the Panthers earlier in the season. The Avalanche truly have one line, but that line is a handful. Stop them and the series is won with ease.

This is 100% false. I CAN be a Western team fan and yes, I do stay up WAY too late. Yes, I have to be at work in 9 hours (8am), it's 10:48. - the game cant start soon enough.

Half an hour later over this way
I’ll gladly be less than optimally productive tomorrow in exchange for some playoff hockey.

And when are these cranks going to get it through their heads that it's 2019? Not every job is 9-5, and not everyone works. This makes me cranky.
