I was actually quite impressed by how the Flames continued to press in the third, and thought that Husso made some huge saves.

I just don't think he is all that great. Binnington is a pretty average NHL starter.

Great offensive output by the team. 7 different goal scorers last night. Speak of spread out scoring. Keep Ruzicka in the lineup. He had a couple more great chances, despite his limited minutes. The dome was relatively quiet given the way the boys played.

Now starts a grind, but if the Flames continue playing the way they have over the last three games, they will be fine. Expect Vladar to get a decent bit of action as well over the next couple of months, given how tight the schedule is.

In fairness, dino7c you probably have never watched a game where the Flames were the beneficiary of bad officiating, good bounces or any other external factor.

That said the Flames didn't need any luck last night. It was a total clinic.

Flames also got away with a trip that lead directly to the sixth goal

Right after Gadreau was hacked and crosschecked blatantly in the corner? Seems like the refs let the trip go because they let the stuff in the corner go.

You're right, I'm wrong. The ref's screw the Flames every time and the league is out to get us.
Our opposition has never received a bad call against when playing the Flames, we are the victims!!!

That better?

I thought so too. But on second watch I thought he went down pretty easy on his own.

Handily?

This whole thing started by someone suggesting there were 4 bad calls against the Blues. Out of our 5 pps. That seems a bit strong.
dino7c suggested maybe 2, agreeing with the two many men being bad.

That potential trip by Rosie could have been called, but it looked like he hit his knee, then the Blue toe-picked, so was a reasonable no call as well, and, as stated, there was a solid cross check and slash on Johnny seconds before which weren't called.

As for the schedule comment, the Flames had a crazy schedule to start the season. That should not really be denied.

Let's just enjoy the win, without bashing other posters.

Why are we still ref blaming? lol.

Just accept the fact that they are totally inept for every team in the league and are all incompetent.

Rewatched it, and no. Ruzicka lightly tapped a shin, but the guy fell on his own.

Ruzicka got the soccer rules call there. If the tackle gets the ball contact first then it doesn't matter if the other guy goes ass over teakettle and ends up with injury and/or hurt feelings!

Yeah, as I said above I rewatched this in slo mo (it was on highlights today) and that’s exactly what happened. I’m a little surprised at the non call but not because it was a bad non call.

Here is something I never thought I'd say at the beginning of the season:

I like Nikita Zadorov.
