Jesus man, you've converted many to despising your contributions while your content has kept some still appreciating what you have to offer. Bull**** like this does a great job of offloading the few remaining that supported you.

Hahaha. Thanks for the chuckle.
Converting? Offloading? Who? Who did I load? Is this a religion now?
Why would I care if anyone supported me or appreciated me on an Internet forum?
An Internet forum?!?
You must have some Grade A insecurity going on upstairs if you find either motivating.
Believe it or not, real life exists beyond the Internet. Real life in all its boundless wonder, complexity and mystery.
I state my opinion, learn more from being wrong than being right, learn from my mistakes and iterate.
Try being an adult sometime and giving zero care about what inconsequential people like “Jayswin” think.
But be well, I sincerely hope you get some help with the insecurities.

Coming back to Calgary this week, was able to get 3 days off so I can come back to Lethbridge on my days off to be with my mom. She's still dealing with lawyers, accountants and real estate agents trying to get things settled so it's been a lot of work.

Covid's still not over. My daughter is a close contact in her classroom. Now have to go to isolation hotel with her because we only have one washroom and accordingly to AHS she cannot isolate effectively.

woah... Your daughter is only a close contact at this point- hasn't tested positive? If so, I would suggest the hotel move is a little unnecessary.

That's what we thought too but they insisted upon it. Its more to reduce the amount of time that the other members of our family would have to isolate if she does end up contracting symptoms. It was explained to me that each time she would use our washroom, and then we use it after it would re-start the clock on isolation if she develops symptoms. If we had 2 bathrooms then it wouldn't of been an issue and she would be able to isolate at home. Also, she has a lot of concerns about being stuck in her bedroom by herself for 10 days. She's a very strong advocate for herself even at 9 years old, so we also thought for her mental health that it would be better for her to at least have 1 other person with her.

From what I recall isolating at home doesn't require physical isolation away from the rest of the family -- especially if there are no symptoms. They did not even require a negative test (it was encouraged but not required) in order to return to school after the 14 days was over. I would double-check the letter that you would have received from AHS -- it never mentioned anything about living in separate spaces/bathrooms etc (although that's obviously a personal choice depending on your situation/preference).

Yes, the notion of isolating because you are a close contact is only a recommendation- not legally required. You are only legally required to quarantine in that case. And while adults are technically required to self isolate if they test positive, the wording on a child testing positive is the household should "consider" isolating the child from any additional family members in the house beyond perhaps one parent/caregiver. In other words, it is suggesting that children under a certain age simply aren't able to totally self isolate, and so we can assume, not legally required to (only quarantine).

Yeah, going to a hotel at this point is jumping the gun. If that is what you were told I would seek a second opinion from AHS.
Based on my experience when my son and wife contracted Covid, you can get very different recommendations and guidelines from one AHS employee to another. The first person we spoke with was adamant that I was to quarantine for 24 days because our house was insufficient to isolate in despite us having multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. The next two people we spoke with both said we were fine to isolate in our house and my quarantine time was 14 days.

That pretty much matches the letters we received when our kids were close contacts.
Three kids. The youngest was twice listed as close contact. The eldest was twice listed as a close contact. I'm not entirely sure how the middle one avoided it.
