Default Please help us identify this burglar - shop broken into this morning

Hello CalPuck

My mom's shop was broken into this morning. Many client's computers were stolen. Our camera caught an image of the burglar: https://giphy.com/gifs/3o7ZeKhcoBbZjIHgkw?status=200

If anybody could identify this person please message me immediately. We are a small local business and this is a huge setback for us.

Thanks!

Edit: Facebook story for those who would be willing to share. https://www.facebook.com/ben.trig/po...56581160505601

Also, the police believe the suspect is around 5'3" - they might very well be female

Good luck,

Guessing about 5'10, 200lb late teens/early 20s white male - or is there a chance that's a female?
Try grabbing a still image right when he/she looks directly at the computer.

On a different note, solid quality compared to what you see on some cameras these days.

Good luck finding him and pushing through the set back!

We believe they might be female, they have wideset hips and their hair is tied back. We're working on getting a clear still frame, but the gif is the clearest shot we have of them now.

With clear footage like that, I think it's only a matter of time until the perp is caught. Someone will rat. Someone almost always does as people like that usually have enemies.

I am not sure but if that's a Detroit Lions hat there can't be that many people who wear hat like that with those glasses. Can anyone else make out what hat that is?

It's hard to make out the logo, but it looks to me like it might be an Oakland A's cap. Like this one: http://shop.mlb.com/Oakland_Athletic...FTY_Fitted_Hat

I have never been there but I guessed this was Ducktoes. I always notice that shop when driving by on Centre. St. He came in through the front door?

It's pretty quiet around centre street. If this is a teen maybe you could ask around Crescent Heights Highschool? (Police would probably do that anyway).

Zooming in on that gif, it looks like it's a blonde haired female with a few extra pounds. And it looks like she is also wearing the red dragon hat that was posted above. It also appears as through she isn't wearing any gloves to hide her finger prints if that helps.

Wow, you have quite a good eye. You are absolutely right.

We're still talking to the police so we will ask them about talking to Crescent Heights High, that is an excellent idea.

Gotta say how impressed we are with CPS through this whole thing, they've done an amazing job so far. Even managed to get the person's fingerprints. There is a lot to go on, so we're feeling confident its only a matter of time until we can find this scumbag.

I think the perp. is Hack&Lube. He knows too much.

What kind of thief breaks into a tech shop of any kind without at least trying to cover their face??

I'd guess pretty much any business for that matter anymore has cameras. Way too cheap and effective to not have it.

What a dumbass. Someone broke into the store I run, we have cameras on every register and the safe. Dude looked right into 4 cameras, took nothing, got jail time.

Something about breaking and entering inherently involves dumbasses.

With footage like that and the fact that bonehead left finger prints, it's only a matter of time before they are caught. Take some solace knowing justice will be served shortly. Hopefully you can recover all your stolen goods.

And for what's it's worth, that security camera you have is a very high quality image. Just goes to show you should never ever cheap out on security cameras.
