I went Agostino over Smith.
Agostino really came on last season, thinking he carries that through and plays a bigger role in Stockton this season. Good cerebral 3rd line forward emerging.
I think Smith will do what Agostino did last year, and struggle a bit turning pro. He's further down the road on the same projection.

another prospect ranking to peruse ...
http://www.mynhltraderumors.com/2015...-10-prospects/
They have Morrison, Wotherspoon, Smith and Carroll way up the list. Ferland, Jankowski, Granlund, Kylington the victims. Ferland and Granlund have been graduated on his list though.

I went Smith but also think Agostino is right there beside him. Ill take them 17 18 regardless.

There is a tight grouping here IMO: Agostino (my pick), Smith, Kulak, Mangiapane, Carroll and Rafikov.
I think Agostino has Glencross upside, a 2/3 line tweener who can chip in and score.
Smith just brings something so different to the table, he is hard to compare. He may only ever be 9-12 in the depth chart for forwards, but could be an important piece.
Picked Agostino for upside combined with likelihood of playing more NHL games

Went Smith but almost went Carroll. Agostino after those two for me.

I went with Smith, although I think he does have high bust potential (not the greatest skater, may be a product of a strong jr team).
Still some good players at this stage. Hathaway/Elson haven't received a sniff, even though I think they have some Jooris potential.

Yay! I get to finally vote for someone other than Culkin!
I chose the Culkin clone Kulak.
Others for consideration were Smith, Agostino, Hathaway, and Kanzig.

Picked Rafikov. Out of sight, out of mind.

Agostino. Although, he's a guy who might have to go to a different team to crack the NHL full-time (just hope the Flames get a decent return if he does).

At this point (or actually maybe 5 picks ago) I can't really make an educated decision.
So I'm going with the crowd, and picked Agostino.

I'm just gonna start picking prospects at random from this point on.
Like how the Oilers operate at the draft.

Smith. I think he has a lot of potential and really like his style.

Am I missing something with Rafikov?
I really don't get how Agostino is ahead of him?

Kulak or Mangiapane for me at this point. Voted Kulak.

The problem with Rafikov is he doesn't seem interested in coming to North America.

I would argue the opposite. What is so underwhelming about Agostino, who scored around PPG for 3 years in college and then transitioned to top 6 numbers in the AHL in his rookie year? In comparison to a Russian defenseman who we've seen play at the World Juniors and that's it. Where he was good, but not outstanding. No one knows how good he actually is. Not sure the Flames even have regular eyes on the kid

I had such high hopes for Seiloff after his first year. What a fall from grace. Not entirely his fault though, just a really unfortunate injury that cost him a year of development. Voted for Smith.
