I am starting to think that the Flames have not built a very good team.

I'm sure this is the off season where the plan comes together.

The Treliving apologists are out in full force tonight. I just can't understand continuing to support a GM that has created this unbelievable mess but...Dougie Hamilton, I guess?

Who are you talking about? I have yet to see one person who thinks the team is good and shouldn't make big changes

Look at the poll 23% think Tre should keep his job. I guess you could argue it should be Tre making the big changes although I can't imagine why. This team is bad to me that means Tre is bad.

He and Mangiapane were about it. Even Lindholm aside from his early chance, was pretty ineffective. Tkachuk had a post I guess.

Gio had a good game. Tanev did except for the last goal where he flubbed a pass out of the zone and then crashed into his own guy.

You missed a 2 on 0 breakaway against us when we were on the powerplay.

Possibly the first time ever. In the history of hockey

I wonder what Kylington did to be treated like this? This has classic Flames written all over it, the pure lack of meritocracy. Seattle takes him and watch him Bennett into a nice solid mobile 3/4 D man that moves the puck confidently and contributes to offence.

Like this guy must be BRUTAL in practice to be getting this level of disrespect. Nobody here can say with a straight face that Valimaki or Nesterov are undoubtedly the better options. Insane. Meanwhile Tkachuk... that’s a guy they should consider sitting for a game.

Despite Darryl’s displeasure it’s actually a question I’ve wondered about for 90% of the season, so, i think it’s a great one.

News flash Darryl and Flames, players don’t GAF.

I couldn't do Steinberg's job for a day... My god some of the Overtime callers are painful.

"How about Monahan and a pick for Wayne Simmonds???"

Edit: Oh yay Robert is on.

I guess we will never find out. That’s kind of my point. Also the waivers thing..... I know you know there is more to it than that, salary, etc. Valimaki theoretically has more upside because many pundits allege so however I am not sure like for like he’s any better. Same with Nesterov.

Yes you’re correct it’s possible the eye test is not right.

I would treat the rest of the season as a kind of preseason, since we didn't really get one this year. Just find out what we have in the organization

Kylington has played 6 games and started 90% of his shifts in the offensive zone.

The Flames have three players with 80%+ o-zone starts (Gawdin and Rinaldo) with more GP than everyone else who’s unacceptably bad defensively.

He’s not special.

Lol. No, I’m sure Brad is right like always

I wonder if *any* Flames players are any good

Every player to a man has underachieved here. Except maybe Tanev.
