Does it seem like you need to have watched the close wars to watch bad batch? I'd be game for something new now that Falcon/Winter Soldier is over, but there is no way I could catch up on the 7 or 8 seasons of clone wars.
I watched the first half of the first episode (2 parter)

Yeah there is some need for Clone Wars knowledge, but they do catch you up on the inhibitor chips and their effect on shutting down higher cognitive functions so that the Clones become more easily controlled. Its how the somewhat creative and independent clones became brutal stormtroopers over night.
The only other real major piece of lore was the appearance of Kanan from Rebels and having to watch his master slaughtered, I thought that was really well done.
I got to the end of the training session, Tarkin as ever was the king of brutallity. Omega is clearly a clone aberrant as a female, but I wonder if she's a clone of a night sister as the preview showed her shooting the bow that the night sisters used. Does this mean that the Empire can clone Force Users.
We saw the prototype Dark Trooper droids from the Mandalorian. Clearly the Sniper's inhibitor chip is still functioning and that's going to cause some edge.
Overall I really liked the first half, the animation went up several notches again and Dee Baker is super talented as all the voices of the Clones.

The little medical droid that was brutally executed was the same droid from the Clone Wars arc where the inhibitor chips were discovered.
Omega, she's a clone, but I expect the way that she talked to CrossHair, how she used the blaster, how she had the bad feeling and warned the batch to go away. Is Palpatine trying to clone jedi to create inquisitors, is she a clone of Barriss who dissipated into Imperial custody.
The guy that they know, its so obvious that its Rex. But how would they know where he was? I mean he's just defected.
Phase 1 Dark Troopers? Sure.
Now we know why Kanan distrusts clones, its nice to see Order 66 from different perspectives.

Its in the episode fairly safe in terms of its a ways from the utter darkness at the end of Clone Wars and some of the brutalities of Rebels. But both of those shows started the same way. Though the ramifications of order 66 and mind control of the clones isn't really all that safe, or child friendly.
The one thing that saved Clone Wars was they were killing Robots, even though Anakin had a pretty good body count at the end of it. This one, and one the the questions that's going to be explored is Clones killing their brothers. They pushed the narrative that the Clones are not at fault here, they're doing what they're ordered to do driven by a chip that turns off a lot of their higher morality functions. That's why you saw a personality shift with the Reg clones.

I guess at the end of a closed video conference for the Star Cruiser attraction, I think it was Kevin Feige ignited a light saber and simply said, its real.
Disney has patented a light saber design that can turn on and off using a motor and a LED tube that extends and retracts.
They also talked about how much work was going into the attraction with the light saber blocking lasers.

The Star Wars vehicle flythroughs of the First Order Star Destroyer and the Falcon were awesome. The Biomes is about 18 minutes long and you basically fly through worlds like Hoth Tattoine Mustafar among others. Its quite beautiful.

I liked the episode with the underlying theme being Hunters relationship with Omega. He doesn't know how to be just a person, he was thinking as a soldier when he tried to send her away to a normal life.
But She's not normal, there's a piece of significance when she removed that head jewlery. They hinted at something when they talked about the Kaminoans not creating a clone without a purpose. I'm still convinced that they were experimenting with cloning force users. I have a theory on who that force user actually is, but I want to wait on that.
We saw the return of Cut, and his wife and kids, that surprised me, but he was a big part of Rex forming the personality that he had, and probably gave him the basis for leaving the Clone Army.
Not a lot of big battles today, or actual imperials chasing them down, but that's coming.
Nice link to the Mandalorian with the Code Chains. Basically with that piece of ID the Empire can track you anywhere. Once the bounty hunters got a hand on that data base it probably made their lives easier.
I enjoyed it even though this was really a episode about building a story line for the Bad Batch not being soldiers anymore.
We have now seen the Reg clones no longer painting their armor as their individuality is flushed away. Also gone are the distinctive personality clones as they're very careful in this show to almost condemn then to the fate of being living battle droids. I expect we'll start seeing the role out of the New Order Storm Trooper armor. I also expect frankly that a couple of well known bounty hunters are coming after them.

Flying the falcon at GE with five other people was ridiculously cool and fun. The ride was a decent length too for waiting in line 45 minutes (maybe cause we didn't crash right off the hop). They've done a good job with the parks, and you can tell the staff have a lot of fun getting into character.
Have to go back and check out rides of the rebellion which is also supposed to be really immersive, and see what Mandalorian merch they have now. Maybe eventually the starcruiser/hotel experiences.

We did the falcon at Disneyland. My 4 and 6 year old kids were the pilots. So I can confirm the ride is the same length even if you do crash into everything possible.
Rise of the resistance was worth doing as well, imo
Watched the first couple episodes of Bad Batch, and while the story seems interesting it's really hard to stay engaged when the show is so obviously geared to kids and teens, that's the primary reason I was never able to get into Clone Wars or Rebels. I was hoping being a Disney+ series would make it more of an adult animation, but I guess not
